For those that might be having random "date" problems, keep in mind you have to change the default serial that is in the program. When you install, and get to the "enter you serial" part, it automatically has a serial in there, that DOES work, but it is not the 10 year serial that is included in the Serial.txt file. Just be sure to actually change it with the correct one in the text file. Hope that helps. |

Same here, this serial has been blacklisted. It will work at first, but as soon as it updates, you‘ll be kicked back down to free status and a nice little popup that says this serial is pirated. |

Sorry, forgot to mention it was after using the serial included in the download and getting notified by AVG that it was not a recognized serial that a box popped up allowing you to enter a NAME and COMPANY as well as a SERIAL number. (I just left the COMPANY blank)

tomtrugg: Thank you so much for taking the time in giving your advice/help. It all worked and I now have the license to 2018.
Advice for others: I received a warning (via browser) from AVG that my copy was pirated and that left my computer unprotected (when doing an update). Just cancel this browser containing the warning. Do not cancel the update and allow it to proceed. Everything will then be fine. You will also have to double click on the AVG icon (desktop) after canceling to `bring up‘ the new 2018 date. This software `worked a treat‘ and it got rid of a lot of `shit‘ on my obviously heavily infected computer. |
