Downloaded and works, didn‘t let me save in that folder either so what i did i copied and pasted the "hosts" file to another folder and did the changes there. Then i took the "hosts" file already with the changes and put it back in its folder replacing the original one. Then installed and everything worked. |

I have got this and After Effects. Can‘t Install any of it. It goes through the installation process then...at the end fails and could not complete it. Have windows vista...anyone have any ideas? Crani.... just use winzip or winrar or any of those.
To keep from getting the error message from Adobe, you have to block it with your firewall from accessing the internet. MacCafee and norton have a built in firewall, all you need to do is block the ".exe" files that the crack replaces. Never have a problem after that. |

This works. The only problem I had was that the hosts file was marked as read only so I could not write to it normally;just right click on the host file, select properties, and ucheck read only. |

works fine in vista 64 bit for me, I wasn‘t able to find hosts file by simply looking in the folder either but after doing a match search of the folder it came right up. |

OK, for all of you newbies like me: heres how to fix the (trivial) "hosts" file issue (adding a line then saving it): right click on "hosts" file/ go to properties/ security/ edit: you can establish your username as administrator and giving yourself total control/ apply; accept. Then open "hosts" file, add last line as instructed on ReadMe file, and save changes! Voilą!!

This files is great. I have the newest Norton out and didn‘t show any viruses. It did take a min to figure out but it‘s fairly simple. I am using Vista so here is what you need to do. Follow the read me file and do exactly what the crack says. If you are using Vista you have to give yourself permission to modify the hosts file. Right click and go to properties. Under the security tab you will need to click the edit button and highlight Users. Go to the next box and click the modify box and ok you can then go to winzip or winrar. Extract all the files and run setup. |
