Oh man, hope this will work better than that RELOADED. I don‘t really mind the crashes, but I would really like to see how Jerusalem and Arsuf, really look like. I tell you the game is so beautifully made that skipping those places or playing it in some language that you don‘t really understand, like russian, it‘s not really an option.
Something that nice must be played and understood from the beginning to the end, otherwise it‘s better not to play it at all, ‘cause if so you will always wonder, hey how that Jerusalem or Arsuf really were like, or what was that man that I‘ve killed there really told me, because I don‘t really understand russian. So it‘s better not to know it at all, otherwise there‘s a possibility for those questions to haunt you all your life, and die with a broken hearted. So please people seed. It‘s strange that one of the most wanted games has only 4 seeders, ‘cause usually I don‘t see more than 4-5 seeders around when I download. |

i‘m having the same problem as tblaster and another in the other download. start the game, screen switches from black and white with regular sound.
i have the latest graphics card driver (d/l‘ed today) which i exspected to fix the problem as it has in other games before. If any of you have any other suggestions on how to fix a graphical error i would love to hear any. otherwise enjoy the game everyone. graphics card is a Radeon 9800 XT |

@crazybobby - you make sure you have winrar or 7zip installed then for winrar, you right click the lowest numbered archive in most cases .r00 and select extract - this will compile all these little split up files into the primary file - with 7zip most split releases like this have included a standard .rar file with this you right click and select 7zip extract and prest same end result as winrar - both good programs mind you and nps having both installed i prefer 7zip cause it supports x64 bit OS |

Some of the people here are complaining about the certain crashes. I recently downloaded a RELOADED version of this game and I am also experiancing these problems. Lowering your setting may do the trick. (I only lowered mine one notch)

I downloaded the file, extracted it and mounted the iso into Daemon Tools. It doesn‘t Autorun and when I open up the folder and click Autorun or Setup, all I get is a blank CMD window that closes immediately.

the freezing during install at Jerusalem is related to a wrong operating system. this is xp x32 ONLY anything else freezes or just hangs in the install usually at Jerusalem. Otherwise works great. allow updates before adding patched exe‘s ;) |

This works fine, though I can‘t corroborate that Jerusalem doesn‘t crash, as I haven‘t played that far yet.
I posted anyway for those of you with surround sound. I have an Audigy SE with 5.1 speakers, and I can‘t hear the cutscene dialogue or combat noises when I have CMSS3D Surround Sound enabled in my Sound Blaster control panel. When I disabled all EAX and CMSS effects, the sound played perfectly, albeit in my front two speakers only (fortunately, I have a "Matrix" button that directs sound to the rear two speakers to emulate surround sound). |

there doesnt appear to be any crack file in the crack folder there appears to be only two files there one for directx 9 and one for directx 10 is that the files that need to be copied over. I have done that and as soon as i started the program it went off to the ubisoft website for an autopatch ?? is this what it should be doing |

also a final comment after downloading that Securomv7.26Loader that some idiot up there suggested it does nothing when you open it it doesnt even find the exe file. anyways unless someone can come up with a clear instruction on how to stop this asking for the correct dvd then its just another 6gb of wasted download. PS if anyone is going to give instruction....simple full sentences in english would be appreciated. for everyone else here is where i am up to
Downloaded the game which gives you a stack of .rar files these are just pieces of the file. Open the first one with unrar or other such program, just double click on it and the unrar program if you have it will pop up. if not its a simple download, you will see a .iso file click on it once and then choose extract to? i always choose desktop as i dont loose where the file went. The unrar program will then create a .iso file on the desktop, leave it until the unpacking is finished even if the iso file appears it will not be complete until the unpacking is finished, when the little meter thingy closes then its ready to use. You now have a complete image of the GAME. To play you will need to install, (a) you could burn with image burn or nero to a large DVD9 as suggested up the page i am not even sure there is such a thing, i know there are dual layer dvds not sure hwether thats the same deal....easier to mount on a virtual drive like daemon tools. It is a free download and is a program which allows you to add virtual drives on your computer where you can then mount the virtual dvd (the iso file). All you do is right click on the daemon tools icon in the task bar..its red on mine...go to the top and choose virtual cd dvd...set the number of drive.....one is enough for this exercise....then mount the imange file from the desktop.....then right click on start/explore and double click on the drive with assassins creed in there to start the dvd. Install as usual. When installed do not play yet. What you are supposed to do is copy over the contents of the crack folder.....which i beleive is missing, the only thing i can see in there are two files of direct x 9 and 10. Anyways i copied them over to the installed game on C Programs Ubisoft Assassins Creed, and renamed the two existing files dx9old and dx10old. The i started the game it immediately went to the Ubisoft website for an autopatch and after that was downloaded every time i try to start it the game says insert the correct dvd......so here i am typing shit instead of playing.... |

update again: when i start the game it immediately trys to download a series of patches from the ubisoft website...if i choose quit it seems to play ok. I have only played a few minutes.... i thought the purpose of a crack was to stop it updating or registering and if i do not download all the patches wont it still have problems in various places |
