| Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) today announced Autodesk 3ds Max 2008 software, the latest version of its out-of-the-box solution for 3D modeling, animation and rendering. 3ds Max 2008 enables artists and designers to over come challenges associated with large and complex 3D datasets. The software has been used to create numerous notable projects, including visualizations for the EMI Records building in London, the Mass Effect game and the Grindhouse movie. 3ds Max 2008 will be showcased at the Autodesk booth (#703) during SIGGRAPH 2007, being held at the San Diego Convention Center August 7-9.
Highlights of 3ds Max 2008 - Improved viewing and handling of large complex scenes - New options for fast, artist-friendly modeling - New Review toolset and mental ray workflow improvements - New tools and enhancements for complex workflows and pipelines Autodesk anticipates that 3ds Max 2008 will be available in English in October 2007. | ...And hey guys... This is 3500 dollars software and most modellers and animators are working with ‘autodesk 3D‘s MAX. So if you need a good 3D and animating program then this is it. And don‘t forget to SEED it to others too. |

| Hey love how it all downloaded, however asking advice on installing. I installed the program and everything went smooth until I went to load it so I could activate it. It brings up an error saying 3DS Max has stopped working. I have Vista and the details say it is a: fault module name ntdll.dll,Fault Module Version: 6.0.6000.16386,and Fault Module Timestamp 4549bdc9. Anyways pretty much a application error. I know everyone is busy including myself, but if anyone has suggestions I appriciate them. I could sure use this program for work. Thank you.
