I‘ve solved the installer problem! Wait untill the installer asks for the DVD, the go to "C:Program2k Games" and rename the folder "Bioshock" to "Bioshoc" (or whatever ju want) then click cancel in the installer. It will say that your files are gone, but they aren‘t. Now rename your folder back to "Bioschock". :) But I can‘t still get the crack to work!! It asks for a serial :S |

NO! it doesnt work people. Just calm the hell down, it will be out. This is a copy of the DVD but it still has security on it. As mentioned above you can circumvent the install problems by renaming the folder but we are still going to have to wait for a cracked exe file and none are available yet, all the other ones are fake. |

I finally cracked it. It was super hard to do it but i got it to work. Ok so I guess your wondering who I did it. Well here is the hardest part Close this window and put your shoes on.... Grab your keys or cab fee. go to your local computer store and fork over some cash to buy the bioshock box. (If your still want to get it for free then you can always shove that box in your pants or purse or even up your a) Very Great Game. Don‘t get me wrong... I tried to DL this too and got tired of waiting so I went and gave in to the man..... lol enjoy the game whenever you get a working copy but I think its going to be a while |

I got mine to install you need daemon tools v4.10 and go to http://m0001.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_bioshock.shtml download the fixed image, after you install bioshock.iso it will ask it insert the real disk just double click the BSAutoRun.exe in the fixed image after you mounted it, and BAM! Ok I installed the game with Magic Disk. Then it said to put in the correct disk I alt-tabbed renamed the folder. then exited the installer. then I copied the paul.dll, bioshock.exe, and secu.eg.reg into the BuildsRelease directory. then I ran the secu.eg.reg to update the regestry. but when I try to launch the app I "This Application has failed to start because the application is configured incorectly. Reinstaling the application may fix this problem"

OK HERE‘S HOW TO DO MAKE IT WORK: Download the full ISO of the game, then download the Crack that works. Then install the game off the ISO (doesn‘t matter what version of Daemon tools to use). Then when the installation is very close to being done, rename the folder from 2KGames or whatever it‘s called to something else...have the folder on top while it‘s installing. Then when it gets to the end of the installation, rename it...it might take a try or two to rename it because it will still be in use, but keep doing it until it successfully renames. Then after you‘ve installed it, copy the cracked files into the folder called C:Program Files2K GamesBioShockBuildsRelease and run the registry fix that came with the crack. Use the cracked bioshock.exe to run the game and it should work. |

make sure you have the LATEST VERSION OF DAEMON TOOLS. i spent about an hour and a half trying to make this work, but after updating from DT 1.04 to 1.10, as well as having both the .iso and .mds image files mounted, the "patching" went through as normal. there was no need to ctrl-alt-del out of the installation or rename any folders. then i copied the cracked .exe and .dll and the game worked perfectly. |

i tried both the "renaming folders"way and the "mount iso and a mini image" way ( with the mini image at http://www.btmon.com/Games/PC/Bioshock_mini-image.PROPER.Skullptura.torrent.html ) and i still get the same result(problem while runing the exe) and also the mini image way doesnt stop the deleting procedure so i had to rename again. (with dt 4.10, tried both with all emulation options on and off) i figured that the installation doesnt copy the exe file too(the one we should overwrite with the cracked one) any more ideas out there? |

OK people; I‘m no technogeek, but this worked for me me and I‘ve done my best to write it up. I got the "side-by-side" error message then followed philips14c guide (above) about running vsredist_x86 (found on the bioshock ISO - explore it to the ‘vs redist‘ folder. the vsredist_x86.exe is found within). I ran this, then clicked on the cracked ‘bioshock.exe‘ in the ‘Release‘ folder).
I got the same problem that murkku got (d3dx9_33.dll not found). What I did is make a new folder on my C drive then explored the bioshock ISO, into the ‘dx redist‘ folder. from there, I selected the right zip file (for me: ‘AP2007_d3dx9_33_x86.dll). I clicked on this and extracted it to the new folder I just created. From the new folder, I selected ONLY the d3dx9_33.dll file and copied it into the bioshock ‘Release‘ folder. Tried clicking the ‘Bioshock.exe‘ again; this time the error message said: ‘xinput1_3.dll missing‘, so I did the same thing: made a new folder, explored the bioshock ISO into the dx redist folder, found the right zip file (for me: APR2007_xinput_x86), unzipped this to my new folder then coppied ONLY the xinput1_3.dll file to the ‘Release‘ folder. I tried again clicking the Bioshock.exe in the ‘Release‘ folder and HEY PRESTO! it all seems to be working fine for me, though not tried saving, restarting and trying to continue from savepoint yet. P.S. What the hell is this Miniimage for? doesn‘t seem to do anything at all! |

That‘s strange! I dint had any problem related to directx missing dll or cab! I have no such files in my release folder and the games run without any problem! You guys are sure that you have directx configured properly? Be sure that you have instaled the last directx 9.0c release (august 2007)! I use Vista 64 ultimate; maybe XP has this problem? This game is REALLY awesome!! Works perfectly on my NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX with 768MB - Works great, even, at 2560*1600 resolution on a Dell 30" Monitor. MAKE SURE YOUR COMPUTER CAN HANDLE THIS GAME!! |

(Oh, and you have to reboot after applying the registry, and installing Microsoft Visual x86 and DirectX v.9c, before launching the game) |

i followed philips14c‘s instruction, game works perfectly This is how you do it in a few easy steps: 1. Disconnect Internet 2. Install Bioshock 3. When it says please insert original disk, rename 2K Games folder to something else 4. Click OK on the protection error 5. Copy the Bioshock.exe to the Release folder 6. Copy the Paul.dll to the Release folder 7. Click on the secu.reg file to add it to the registry. 8. Connect Internet 9. Run the game (bioshock.exe) no need to dl aditional files, but you do need the crack, this one worked perfect for me direct link http://www.snaketop.net/servers/cracks/Bioshock@Snaketop.net.rar pass : www.snaketop.net |
