Unfortunately this torrent has a trojan horse which plants 2 seperate malicious
files on your disk. The first one lands on the root directory and is named services.exe while the second one is seeded in your windows- system32 folder (the actual name is random, perhaps). If you have any decent antivirus program, both files are deleted right before they are created, so you are rather safe. No need to be afraid (if not.... then, these two open the pandora‘s box and -everything- comes to your machine). The trojan horse is run each time the DVD (the ISO, that is) is "inserted" with deamontools (or normaly, if the iso is burned on a dvd). The autorun function runs the Setup-rsrc-autorun.exe, which infects the computer and then runs the real autorun-file of the game. If you have downloaded the torrent already, there is a remedy: open the iso with the ultraISO (or equivelant) program and a) remove the autorun.exe file located in the Setup-rsrc-autorun.exe b) rename the Setup-rsrc-autorunex.exe to autorun.exe. c) save the altered ISO. I have played the first 3 missions and looks ok. Those nasty boys responsible for this, should spend more time with female company. |
