If this was for steam that would probley be more useful for me because im getting a problem with this counter strike source it keeps coming up with Platform Error: module failed to initialized. I know the possible fixes when attached to steam but on its own im not sure, if anyone could help me that would be great cause i‘d really love to play this. I noticed the patch from the same poster but some guy put a bad comment on it, will that help me? I dont really want to get a virus. |

aha, to play it on the servers follow this simple advice
BEFORE YOU START YOUR FIRST GAME make sure "Counter-Strike Sourceplatformconfigmasterservers.vdf" file is [READ ONLY]) to do this, find the file on your hard disk and then right click on it, select properties and change it to read only If you didnt do this when you first played then you will need to replace the file again, here is the address http://css.setti.info/code/masterserver/MasterServers.vdf once done you can play on ALL Steam servers (In-Game Internet TAB+[REFRESH] for NON-Steam Servers) HAVE FUN |

you must go into "Counter-Strike Source/platform/config/masterservers.vdf and make it a read only in order for it to work.READ the READ ME and then make the above file a read only and then play the game it works good make sure you rPC can play it htough |

I downloaded... installed... everything went smoothly...

Just so all you idiots know, you cannot play on VAC secured servers. There are servers that you can play on without steam, but they usually suck. This release is intended for single player only, im sure, ("create server" in menu) and even if you can connect, the VAC system wil kick you.
Basically, YOU CANT PLAY ONLINE. |

GOTO: http://css.setti.info/servers/list-css.php?sort=ccnext=201 for a full list of non-steam CSS servers. just copy the CC ip adress, then goto CSS, find servers,goto favorites, add a server, then just paste the ip adress. then add server to favorites. THERE U GO |

Ive clicked the shortcut after installing the exe files,changed the read only,and it starts up looking normal saying "loading" but after that the screen goes Black. i hear the music But 0 picture. If i bring the window down and up real fast i can see the title screen for a split sec lol but thats about it.
