Strigo is fuckin dumb. Yes the only part you can access is the editor until a crack comes out that bypasses the online serial check. But it is the full game.

Because lots of people are idiots:
This is the full game, 100% of Farcry 2 and the editor. The problem is that now (as far as i know) there is no crack so the game is unable to be run due to securom. The editor does work because it is not protected by securom. You can download this now and mess around with this editor but the game is unplayable until it is cracked. keep checking gamecopyworld or whatever site you want to see when it is cracked and able to be played |

If you will all be patient, Then wait for the release from Razor. I have never had problems from Razor and if there is a problem with there crack, then they will update it. Just win rar and a good burning program to burn the image and You will be good to go. |

Ok I‘ve tried the game. It works perfect! Together with Razor‘s crack (at http://gf.wiretarget.com/far_cry_2.htm) it works just great. Also, it runs actually great on my pc which isn‘t that good. Didn‘t expect that. I thought it would be running like Crysis (which runs f*cked up). Only if I set my settings to Ultra High it laggs a BIT! |

i‘m not able to install the software... this program is blocked due to compability issues check online to see if solutions are available from the microsoft website... i think is cuz i‘m using Vista.. .... i tried using UltraISO i mount the game but when i run SETUP it says: E: setup.exe The specified path does not exist. check the path, and then try again... ---- what‘s with that??? and also i clicked on autorun the installation window comes out, i click on INSTALL and nothing comes out... lol this is weird.. Not sure about the error, it‘s unlikely to be this particular torrent to blame (as many people have had Success) probably something on your end has gone wrong.
Perhaps try to use a different torrent program - I use Utorrent, which is great. Also try downloading from scratch as the error will most like not go away. I hope this helps. I |

i still cant believe that this is the full game. ONLY 3.7gb! the first far cry was 3.5gb big. correct me if im wrong, but i think a game like that cant be compressed like that. the map is allegedly 1.38x bigger than the san andreas map and as big as 113 vaticans, the graphic is totally impressive and the file size is only 3.7gb. cmon. cant believe that. why are crysis and warhead over 8gb big. i dont even know a newer game that is under 4gb big |

Well, it installs fine, loads fine, can setup all the options in the menu.
However, when I select my character start a game...It never gets past the loading screen. It just sits there endlessly loading the first level... I‘ve even let it sit there for 30mins, and it never finishes. :( I‘ve re-installed three times, updated my drivers to 180.43...hell, I even defragged still can‘t get it to load the first mission. Tytarian, I dl this game (the clone dvd version from this page) and also dl Daemon Tools Lite as you suggested very early on in this thread but the game doesn‘t autoplay to install it. I have mounted it as suggested on Daemon Tools but it does nothing when I mount it. I also have tried mounting it using MagicISO but again it doesn‘t autostart but I can access the files but when I click on the autoplay icon it comes up with the usual window where I click on Install game and then the window just closes and nothing!

AfxTwn, try a program called Alcohol 120, it‘s different image mounting software you can find it right here on btjunkie, just search for it and choose the one with a TON of verifications of it working (300 PLUS) It‘s the one I have been using for ages. Once you have downloaded it, launch the program then go to ‘file‘=open then browse to the fc2 image - then click on it - then it will show in the Alcohol program - double click to launch setup window, install the game and don‘t forget to apply the crack links to the crack are among these posts. Thanks for the reply Tytarian. I‘ve figured out why it wouldn‘t autostart now, it was nothing to do with Daemon Tools in the end. It‘s because whenever I put any game/CD/DVD in my normal DVD drive, the autoplay feature never works and I have to go into My Computer and double-click the actual drive icon to get it to start. I had to do the same thing for the Far Cry game on the virtual drive. I‘ve been able to install it now and have it running although now I need to get a new graphics card as my rubbish GeForce 6600 can‘t really cope with the game lol!
Thanks for the help though! P.S. I also applied the crack as you also mentioned. |

Hey amitrane, you have the E2180 cpu right?, same as mine - I am running mine at an overclocked 3.0GHz, MASSIVE difference in speed the E2180 is very overclock friendly so maybe you can look into that - will give you a nice boost in gaming performance. Just a suggestion though, not everybody likes overclocking as there is some risk involved, research if you like. |

Hey Tytarian, thanx for the info .. i fogot to mention that my putter with e2180 is already ocd to 2.8 ghz .. but cannot go beyond due to stability issues as i am using cheap biostar 945 (50)mobo .. i am also using stock cpu cooler . Here my graphic card is acting as a bottle neck..was planning get 8600gt .. but thanx to recent recession and high exchange rates .. i have to postpone it. will check on google if i can oc the 7100gs (Core clock 350MHz).. please let me know if you have any tips on this .. thx again.

Sure I would be happy to give you some advice, just about any graphics card can be overclocked, it‘s just a matter of ‘how much‘ you can overclock and have it still be stable you mosy likely already know this if you are interested in overclocking.
I have always used a program called ‘rivatuner‘ found here: http://downloads.guru3d.com/RivaTuner-v2.11-download-163.html On that site you should also find advice and tutorials on the best way to overclock your graphics card. Also a program you may have heard of ‘3d mark‘ would be great to test stability, so I highly recommend grabbing that off btjunkie or by other means. Before you start overclocking run 3d mark forst so that you have your default score to compare yo later when you have overclocked. You were definitely right about your graphics card being the bottle neck. There is much info on how to OC your graphics card, but if you don‘t want to scan all that information you can just simply do the following. In Rivatuner go to ‘Driver settings =‘customise‘=click the first icon (looks like a graphics card) and in the window that comes up select ‘detect now‘ then check the box ‘enable driver level hardware overclocking‘ and be sure to select ‘performance 3d‘ form the drop down menu to the right. Then you can adjust the core speed, yours is 350Mhz, so I would only do a max first attempt of 25Mhz extra (375Mhz) - run 3d mark at least 5 times on default settings(you can lower resolution a little I would use the res you usually game at) and perhaps an hour of a graphics intensive game - NOTE: In order to save your OC settings you have to save them under ‘startup settings‘ in Riva tuner located on the same page as the OC options are, make sure they are correct for what you imputed otherwise when you reboot your comp, the settings will be lost. Back to the core clock - try only adjusting the core clock first, find your max stable overclock and when 3d mark, or a game ‘unusually crashes‘ or you see ‘artifacts‘ which are graphical abnormalities or other strange visual anomalies, reduce your overclock by 10Mhz and retest - just keep overclocking by 15-20Mhz until you produce an error or graphical glitch or crash -then back off a little, use the same method for the mem clock and evebtually you‘ll find your max safe overclock and will potentially gain a few FPS on your games. Heat will obviously rise, as with any component pushed beyond its intended performance threshold - but you can use the ‘fan‘ option in rivatuner, (which should be in one of the tabs above the OC option) to cool your graphics card a little - I put it to 90%. Be patient and you ‘should‘ get a decent result Hope this helps and sorry for the long post!. |

Help! Game installed fine and all but I can‘t seem to unmount a drive. FC2 seems to still be mounted with something as I only have 1 cd/dvd drive and the 2nd one has FC2 mounted. Niether Daemon Tools, PowerISO, or MagicISO processes are running on my computer. They are also disabled in my startup configuration. Is this part of the crack?....to auto mount the game ‘all the time‘ in order to play it? If someone can help me with unmounting this game that would be great...can‘t find anything online either. |

Hey schmidlapp84, I think you can go into ‘my computer‘ then right click and choose ‘unmount‘ which will still leave the extra created ‘false drive‘, or you can just uninstall the prigram - you do not need the program once you have installed the game - the mounted fake drive just mimicks a dvd drive with the dvd image seen as a game in that ‘false‘ drive.
There might be a way to get rid of the drive appearing in daemon tools, but I dont have that installed at the moment, as I have another image mounting software installed. |

Tytarian, after uninstalling all of those programs it was still mounted but in device manager it still said Magic ISO virtual drive. I had to uninstall it but it‘s all good now. Thanks heaps! |

Hey amitrane, glad I could help a little, btw your idle temps are fine!,graphics cards are designed to run hotter than CPU‘s so you can‘t compare the two, 55 degrees is not really that hot at all and is exactly what mine is running at and it is completely stable.

QuakeZero, the editor is in the bin folder, excatly where the normal Far Cry 2 launch icon is - or or just right click the Far cry 2 icon = properties, then select ‘find target‘ and it will take you quickly to thw ‘bin‘ folder where it‘s located, there is also a benchmarking tool in there that‘s quite good. |

I downloaded the pirate bay copy but i cannot install it. I loaded the image with magicISO but when I click install from the screen that is loaded , nothing happens. I tried browsing the mounted disk and run setup.exe and it says ‘not a valid win32 application‘. I cannot copy the setup.exe file as it gives the error ‘parameter is incorrect‘. The file is 368 kb and i am afraid that it could have been corrected. Can someone help? |

jigshaw, not sure what‘s going on there - is it the same .nrg Far Cry 2 image as the btjunkie one?, same size? ect.
Only other thing I can suggest is to use daemon tools as I suggested in my 2nd post here. Launching the setup.exe just wont work as far as I can tell. So just make sure you have the verified good clone dvd image,and that yours is the same size - and use daemon tools, Torrents such as this one razor crack posted here - these things have been verified working by quite a number of people including myself. Otherwise may be a probelm on your end. |

Hi infamus, it sounds like you have not applied the crack at all, or at least not properly, when you copy over the crack that box that asks you for a serial should not appear. yea i found out what was wrong. it wasnt in the right folder but now i have a new problem lol

Try uninstall, then reinstall the game then correctly apply the crack - error may have been caused by incorrectly using the crack the first time which may have lead to instability.

Can you tell me your specs and operating system? - also it‘s a very good idea to install the latest service pack, which is service pack 1 for Vista, or service pack 3 for XP. Also update to latest direct X and latest official graphics card drivers.
But of course your specs and operating system as a starting point would be great. |

So you have onboard graphics then?, what I would do is check to see if your onboard graphics is officially supported by the game, Far Cry 2 uses fairly moden graphics requirements that may not be supported by your chipset. Shader model 3 is also required which is a ‘fairly‘ modern graphics feature.
I would wait until you get your new card, try and be patient and then you will have a much better experience. Just out of curiousity, what card are you getting? |
