Read the readme, you need the xlive from microsoft. The game crashes all the time and is unplayable, not sure if its a problem with this pirated version or a bethesda problem. It works fine in the intro Vault section, so this download will be more like a demo. |

As far as I can tell this release IS NO GOOD.
The "could not find xlive.dll" problem can be solved be by visiting and downloading the MS live redis. package mentioned in the release‘s #readme# dir. HOWEVER, the game itself is crashing and freezing all over the place. Unstable and unplayable. Hopefully there will be a quick-fix or patch released to fix this release, but until then I‘m going for the reloaded-2 release. |

This release works, but be aware this is barely playable as the game crashes more often than not, and if you save a game at that wrong moment no matter how many times you load, it will crash again and again.
Consider this like a demo and get a proper release. |

Just a comment for those who are having issues with the "setup.bat" file pausing at 2%. Don‘t be discouraged, it‘s not actually pausing and it is still extracting properly, it just takes a while. Just let it sit and it will eventually complete. |

I have experienced a few crashes but those issues are apparently smoothed out by downloading those fixes that Ramscoop mentioned. The first Hotfix got me to the point in the Saloon while talking to Mr. Burke, so I‘m going to test the Final fix. |

guys, guys for those who think that the installation stop at 2%---well your all wrong! it just takes so long to extract the files but just wait until it finishes when it is 75% or so, it will install the sound files and if it is finished it will ask you to modify your video, sound, etc. unfortunately you have to download the xlive redistributable at microsoft to actually play the game (fallout 3 looks for xlive.dll if you have none) and then you have to download the "FINAL FIX" released by the same torrent contributor--skullptura--to further enhance the gameplay....WTF!~such a hassle to play for free _V |

I have had no luck using Windows XP service pack 3 has anyone got it working in XP or Just vista.
I forced a Recheck that my files were full Downloading in Uttorent I have installed the Latest Microsoft .NET Framework 3.0, Direct X drivers XLive package But it just keeps failing and asking for me to delete the directory try again. On top of that when I tried to install the files manually the 7zip file Fallout3.esm.pcf.7z said Fallout3.pcf was broken that about 1/2 the files in Textures.7z were broken, and as I mentioned I verified my Download with a force recheck twice. Afterwards I was getting that XLive.dll error some of the others were getting Be after upgrading a Xlive package the Exe starts to open showing Hourglass then nothing "No error no game either" |

Works okay if you also install Skullptura‘s Final Fix (http://btjunkie.org/torrent/Fallout-3-FinalFix-Skullptura/39525f31840f7177734de 71eea183e0e22c2f6e37f48) . This fix takes about an hour to update this release but reduces most of the problems. If you use ffdshow video codecs, deactivate it for this game, otherwise it will crash! If you still have problems try the windowed mode - this one seems to be more stable. Fallout 3 is a little buggy. |

this rip requires the 7gig hard space because of the extraction process but after all that it only takes less than 5gigabyte of space in my persocom...and yes the opening cutscene is bugged...after the opening scene a clear error can be seen----the program shutsdown automatically....T_T but the gameplay is actually good, you just have to play fallout 3 with no other programs running in the background..... |

First, this is my first dl from Skullptura. I followed the intstruction EXACTLY as detailed in the read me files. Then I downloaded the final fix, and installed as directed. I got and error stating that the game could not be found. I realized I unrared the fix into a seperate folder, and then copied the files into the Fallout 3 directory. Next error; xlive.dll could not be found..search MS drivers., found xlive v so and so, installed and WOW. IT WORKS..WTG Skullp.. |

I ran the registry editor thta came with dowlnload...ran that..(delete gam efrom registry), restarted comp, then deleted folder and started over..as I said..This game works, and works well. The greatest factor is patience...find that and then enjoy game..This will take time, and do not interup any part of process..This game rocks

Help needed! I made sure to read all comments b4 asking. Installed all of the following: .net framework 3.5, Games for Windows, Fallout 3 from Skullputra, Fallout 3 Final Fix from Skullputra. Everytime I use the Fallout 3 shortcut on desk top it says its not installed and installer is no longer there. Put dvd/rom in and search for setup.exe. Went into Fallout 3 Folder and used Fallout3launcher.exe. Still doesn‘t work. Gives same message. Then I read comment that said look for the Fallout3.exe in the Fallout Folder where I used 7zip to extract the data to. Can‘t find the file called Fallout3.exe. But other people had the same problem with the "dvdrom needed for installer". How do you launch the game. What exact steps to you do? All the Data is still there. I saved everything on my D: drive. But the game made a fallout 3 folder in my C: drive under documents and setting. No setup.exe in there either. Looks like I will be uninstalling and buying a game. lol any one have any ideas???? ok heres the thing I downloaded your game which took over a day. I installed it put it in a folder. Then I start it up and it says cant find XL dll file. Ok so I go to the fourms of Bethesda they say download. I do so after that it then says cant find d3dx9_38.dll. Then I download a new DirectX file copy the game itself and then replaced the DirectX folder. It still says cant find d3dx9_38.dll even when the game had the latist DirectX files anyway. So it also says reinstall the game. I go to your setup file and it goes for a second but then says GAME NOT FOUND. I also downloaded the Final Fix for Fallout 3 and that says the same thing and I cant find the Install file anywhere. plz help |

I installed everything, used the fix/patch, fixed xlive.dll, and got the game working. I‘ve been playing BUT This is EXTREMELY buggy. I‘ve got nice hardware. A higher end dual core, with a SWEEEEET video card and lots of RAM. Fallout 3 keeps doing little mini game freezes every 30 seconds. It is really fucking annoying. It makes the game barely playable. And since I love fallout, I played it all the way to level 11 like this. I had one complete meltdown of the game where it went all scrambly. But its mostly just the mini 5 second freezes that do this release in. DON‘T DOWNLOAD THIS ONE. |

Fixed the infinitely at name-choosing mode bug. You should also notice that people are stiffer in the scene e.g. the first doc stands there, and ‘snaps‘ to position over you once the scene loads completely.
To solve this, go to your settings folder e.g. "C:Documents and SettingsUserMy DocumentsMy GamesFallout3" and delete (or backup) EVERYTHING there. loading the thing up will force a re-init of your settings and it should work. Also, for those who can‘t launch it from the launcher screen; your files are in a different location from where you originally installed it (e.g. didn‘t like the original location, manually moved). Move it back, or link the launcher back somehow |

Ok I got a problem, I installed the game exactly like in the readme file then I installed final fix. My game doesn‘t start, when I click game icon, the menu appears with Play, options, etc. When I click on play, the menu disappears and appears again. So the game doesn‘t start. I checked on the minimum requirements, and mine are much bigger. So it‘s not the hardware problem, also i updated directx and video card drivers. Had no problems with Skullptura‘s World In Conflict RIP. It has worked perfectly. This Fallout 3 I have tried to tweak and tweak but still failed. Unlike others I didn‘t have trouble with the xlive.dll file issue. My problems came when I booted up the program and got DVD ROM - installer messages. I figured I could use Daemon Tols and work through a virtual drive set up and that would solve it. But Daemon wouldn‘t recognize any formats in the Fallout 3 folder. I‘m not the best at this stuff but did try several solutions with no luck. Probably me not the RIP. Post if you have any ideas but I‘ve heard from people I know that the RELOADED version is a no hassle perfect RIP. Like I said it is probably me. Still owe you for World In Conflict Skullptura. well i installed the skullpatra fix thinking it would fix my game. i started the game up, got teh xlive.dll error message. downloaded that and installed to system32 folder, then downloaded live for windows and installed. started the game up, and of course it crashed to the desktop everytime.... tried the ffdshow fix, and a few other tweaks... did nothing, this torrent worked for some, but trust me. THIS IS TRASH SKULLPTURA. trust me on this download the 4 gig version its probably 4 gigs for a reason.... |

k installed game and final fix in about 1 hour and 15 minutes and went smooth, but i click play and it goes to a pink screen( i hear it playing music) and then it gives me a windows error. it‘s probably my onboard hd3200 256mb card and im gonna try to download the new directx 9 from march and see if i can get it to work then. if not i will keep looking for answers or wait to get my hd 3750 512mb card from newegg on thursday. but thxs again skullptura:) |

Hey all don‘t download this game it works fine (after the final fix) but it freezes during critical movie‘s of the main quest... withs means ur stuck... u can not complete the a main quest... so u cant go on any more. i‘ve been testing with cheats( for gaining perks it works) but exiting vault 87 with the G.e.c.k doesn‘t work cause of the freeze during the movie of the enclave... (If anyone found a solution plz let me know) i would advice to go for an other download cause this is just shit.. ur halfway there playing for hours and then... |

it is a good copy but be prepared to do a lot of work to get it to work properly.

had to do a bunch of shit but after everything it works perfect
the hardest part was the xlive.dll error. i just googled the games for windows redistributable, found it, installed and it works just fine. everyone having problems just need to go step by step making sure you do everything right. also it seems that it only works out well with vista but i dont know. just make sure you follow every step correctly. |

im getting the same problem as a lot of people and no one has a fucking solution.
i got the final fix and i copied it into the fallout 3 folder and copied the nine files into the data folder. but when i start the fallout shortcut and launcher it says i didnt install fallout and tells me to search my dvdrom and click setup.exe wtf is that? |

great news pals, the game worked now on vista. the problem was the UAC because 1st time i left the game to extract and then the registry didnt add to the system and i get access is denied in the extraction window however it continued normally to install DirectX and visual c++ then when i tried to run the game i found the game not recognized by the luncher.
i deleted everything,then extracted the .rar again and run setup.bat approved for adding the registry when prompted and now it works fine,but actually i didnt try the game so i will update if there is any problems in game play. so basically for XP users there will be no problem for extraction since there is no UAC like vista (and i cant remember XP asking for adding registry entries in system) but for vista users please make sure u dont get the 2 access denied in the extraction window or you will find the game not installed and you have to repeat everything all over again. |

now the game has a good number of bugs including crashing after lunching it immediately,crashing after the main video of the game "the war bla bla bla" skip it and it will work fine,while game play the game freeze only you can move the mouse and if u load a saved game after the crash it will load in the saved location with the crash too so u have to exit to the main menu and load the saved game again. but i didnt try the fix yet,actually iam afraid it may crash the game or not work and so i will need to do all the extraction again. it is really sweet iam still in the vault at 19 years so iam still in the beginning.

Works! How to Make it work:
1.if you download this make sure to download Skullptura‘s Final fix to this as well 2.after that download GFWL ("Games For Windows Live") to your computer (no need to do anything more then that not even open the softwere (download the stand alone client, just write GFWL/full name Clien on google) 3.put the first fallout 3 folder (which is in the .rar) in a short directory (if /c then just C and if D then just D and so on) open the setup but don‘t run it yet (don‘t klick any key to start it yet) now unrar all the archive (that means extract here on all the .rar files including the 4 in the data file) 5. klick to continue in the setup .exe (this takes a while have paitence) 6.(you must download skullptura‘s final fix to play the game belive me) take all the files in the skullptura‘s fix and do the same as you did with the first thing (read the readme file on this one you might just need to extract to the folder and run fix and not extract all archives this time) 7.if you don‘t like GFWL running in the backround when you play (if indeed it does) for what ever reason... just write GFWL (full name) disabler fallout 3 in google and download the small file put it in your game folder and run it once the game is in the launcher (before that it won‘t let you use it saying it can‘t detect GFWL 8. and most importently HAVE FUN!!! :D (read the comments they all say that they thought that because GFWL was involved and all kinds of stuff from other comments that this game won‘t be good but this is an amazing game :) hope ive help‘t |

To get the "xlive.dll" you need to download the program "Games for Windows Live" and download that. That‘s all you have to do to fix that.
The game works but certain parts that you go to make the game crash every time. unfortunately, this is including one of the parts at the very beginning of the game. To fix this it should be as simple as downloading a newer/the newest Fallout 3 patch and that should fix any lagg or glitch related problems [unless it‘s your computer‘s fault]. Aside from the glitches, it works perfectly. If you CAN afford to get the 5.6 GB download on here, and have the time, I suggest you do that. It would be worth it. The only reason I‘m not getting the 5.6 GB download is because I only have 4.7 GB disks. =/ |

To not get caught, after you have installed and updated, using a program like zone alarm disable all internet connections for windows live and fallout 3. I did get caught they told me i had 3 days to uninstall and delete it. I did and no charges. (if i didnt they would contact my isp and shut my internet off.) But i had to buy it. sorry Skullptura :-( |

download FULL RIP and FINAL FIX - about 5 hours download and install the xlive.dll installer (search in torrents) - about 10 min download and install Microsoft NET Framework if needed (check earlier posts for more details) - about 10 min open and install FULL RIP package (just follow enclosed instructions) - about 30 min open and install FINAL FIX package (put extracted files into the Fallout 3 master folder, except for the DATA folder. the DATA folder contains some files which you must copy into the Fallout 3 master folder‘s DATA folder. double-click start final fix). - about 1 hour test the game. double-click icon on desktop or folder DO NOT change any settings (esp video) after the game automatically configures it for you hope and pray it runs :) have just finished Escape from Vault 101 quest with NO crashes.
