| Okay folks, it works.
Here are the missing INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Extract the ZIP file to a folder 2. Burn the contents of that folder to an ISO file in NERO (or, if you like to waste CDs, burn to a CD). IMPORTANT: the CD must be titled "Topo Disk 1" (without the quotes) 3. Mount the ISO file in Alcohol (or put the CD you burnt in). 4. Launch Setup.exe and install. If it offers to install unverified USB drivers, decline the offer. The maps will appear in Mapsource. Enjoy! |

Using something like Nero, "burn" the contents of the folder to an ISO file (or, if you like to waste CDs, burn it to a CD). IMPORTANT: the ISO or CD must be entitled "Topo Disk 1" (without the quotes); 3. Mount the ISO file in something like Alcohol (or insert the CD); 4. Run Setup.exe. Follow the install instructions. No license or connection needed. If the program offers to install some unverified USB drivers, decline the offer; 5. You‘re done. The maps will show in Mapsource. If you need to unlock them for your GPS, download the Garmin utility. |
