obviously the science is bad but it‘s more about the conflicts than the actual science. It‘s very improbable that life will still exist on earth when our sun begins to die considering other stars it‘s size, our star still has a minimum of 25billion years left. This movie makes it look like it‘s in the not to distant future, though they are not time specific at all. |

ha! 25 billion years left. Your funny. Our star is a Main Sequence type star, with a total lifespan of around 10 billion years, half of which has already elapsed! Your looking at 5 billion years tops. Not that it really matters, as you said human civilization will be long gone before that happens. But there are other concerns around our star that could make it fizzle out long before it would have naturally died. |

Anyone else see the weird inserted pictures when the flashlights rollover the screen? Try watching very closely when they first enter Icarus 1.

Okay, the story is about our sun 50 years from now that is dying.
But people keep going on about its true lifetime and shit. Well if you care to go to imdb.com, then youd know that the reason why it is dying is because it has a bigbang related virus that is destroying itself with self induced solar flare spasm‘s. They did alot of research when making this movie to try and make it as realistic as possible. And no the picture flashes arent from the person who burned the movie, its from the new years photo that the icarus 1 crew took. annoying yes, but still not just put in there. lol Its a good movie, but it feels a bit unfinished.... Oh and the part with all the "dust" Ya not really possible. |

I‘ve been looking everywhere for the soundtrack as well, it‘s incredible and underworld did an amazing job of composing to match the atmosphere of the movie. Unfortunately, there isn‘t a soundtrack available yet. It‘s been planned for a while though and is eventually supposed to be released on iTunes - mid-september according to someone over at sunshinedna.com. It was originally intended to be out before the US theatricial release but some lawyer deal has been preventing it from being released for the time being.

Who put the weird frame in at around 49:21? Take a look and see if you can see it. One of the torches shines on the camera and that appears suddenly. I only just saw it! Anyone recognise it? I have no idea why or who put this frame in the video, lol. Actually, the sun has been shrinking in size at the rate of about 1/10 of a percent every hundred years. Very cool movie, though I saw a pretty crappy quality copy of it last year. Going to watch it again. The feeling of totally being cut off from earth forever left me deeply affected. The story felt very real and the acting was very, very good. |

THIS MOVIE WAS MADE FOR 20 MILLION IN ENGLAND. THINK IT LOOKS AMAZING FOR THE BUDGET AND THE CAST ARE GREAT. IT HAS ITS FLAWS BUT THINK IT A GREAT SCI FI. REMEMBER PEOPLE LIKE TOM CRUISE GET 20 MILLION JUST FOR ACTING. tHE SOUNDTRACK IS BEAUTIFUL, SET DESIGN WONDERFUL AND DANNY BOYLE IS A GOOD MODERN DIRECTOR. i BOUGHT THIS MOVIE AS SOON AS I COULD AND THE EXTRAS TALK ABOUT THE DODGY SCIENCE. iTS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE MOVIES NOW FOR SURE.
