people think it is ‘wank‘ because people think "soldier... M4 = dead middle eastern people". But if you‘re expecting that... this movie disappoints. This is the kind of movie that you have to think about. You need to get to know the character deeply in order to understand their trauma and thought process. this movie is actually pretty smart... meant for smart people as well. lol. good dl. A lot of people do hate this movie, because when they see the trailer or commercial they see it is a war movie and they expect it to be like blowing up, and explosions, and shoot em up movies..
You want that go buy transformers. Jarhead is a story (True story) based on the life of Anthoney Swofford. There is hardly any action at all in the movie, because its not supposed to have action. Its about how Tony wanted to be a marine all his life, and when he finally was there he hated it and he wanted to leave. While the other part is about Troy who wanted to be a marine as well and he loved it more than any other marine would. He didnt join for money, college, or cause he had no place to go. He wanted and loved the corps. He wanted to make his life of it. But he was turned down for re enlistment. Than killed a few months after (actauly happend) For thoes of you who wonder how Troy actually died it was because of black ice on the rode when he was driving. Movie is for intellegent people who dont want just EXPLOSIONS and shit every second. If you want that go buy transformers.... This is for smart people who understand plot, good directing, and storys. Welcome to the suck. (-being deployed out to the marine Corps myself, in 2 years.) |
