Downloaded, Scanned With with Avg 8.0 Internet Security package with firewall. Scan was CLEAN. Installed and set up to my prefrence and teseted, and it works well. My Recomoendation is to set it up for audio files only, and use it for thos times when you only want one song, and scan everything you D/L. I am a veteran on the Torrent Community and I‘m just trying to spread some safety info and legitamate feedback for torrents that do work. |

This very site has been temporarily down for almost 2 days for server maintenance, and it wasn‘t that long ago... Why not have another alternative??? lastly.... WHY are you such a HATER and a hypocrite???) ONTO some other observations and no more personal replys... The more ways you have to share software the better. I have NEVER got a virus or worm or trojan Horse or anything from using LIMEWIRE. I also almost NEVER EVER EVER from a LIMEWIRE search for a song et forced to download an entire album. Limewire came out when Rapster got shut down, It was an answer to the DUMBASS politicians trying to control perfectly legal behavior. IS anyone out here of the age to remember when all that was available were Vynal (albums...LP‘s.... Records or any other name meaning analog record players using a tone arm, a needle and a turn-table. Also available were Cassette Tapes. The reason it was SUPER WRONG to BAN RAPSTER is that it is really no different then when I was younger, Me and my friends would decide to meet at one of our friends home. We would all bring our Sony, Denon, JVC, panasonic or whatever brand of Stereo Cassette Tape Player we owned. We also brought all our newest Albums of our favorite bands. Once everyone arrived, we ran a spyder web of RCA stereo cables (Red and White tipped... I am sure you know what I am talking about) to and from the various Tape Players (which also could record through tape Moniter RCA jacks any input you wanted to plug up...such as record player output from the receiver it was connected to or if our friend had a higher end system, we used the pre-amp. The Pre amp is a component that had the volume, tone controls and various switches to select whatever device was hooked up to his stereo system...and a good pre amp had a moniter output as well as a Head phone output. A system with a pre-amp had the amplifier as a seperate component with its own power supply and because it was in its own chassis, it kept "NOISE" from the FM TUNER or the preamp from getting into the final signal that was powering the LOUD speakers. A receiver is a single chassis with a FM Tuner, a preamp, its tone controls and a Power AMPlifier and all the inputs to add other components (like CD players when they came along) on the back. IN ANYCASE.... We would take turns playing various tracks off a various selection of albums to make JAM tapes to play in the car or on a road trip or on our walkmens or where ever. NO artist began any LAW suites over this activity and the BLANK cassettes were sold at the check out counter in the record store!!! In other words, making copies of artits music was encouraged. (Is it live or is it memorex) But Now in 2000 and on up, It became illegal for me to put a bunch of my CD‘s onto my computer and let someone else copy tracks off those CD‘s. Just because I use a phone line and a modem and computer as the electronic devices to retrive and record the music it is looked at as different then using RCA cables and a Receiver hooked up to a Turn-table and a Cassette Player to do the EXACT same thing. Didn‘t notice at the time but about 4 more sentences were left off my comment??? not sure why... maybe the Bitjunkie strawbosses set a character limit on comments??? it‘s all good. i got my main point out.. I have been pissed about the total insanity of (1) negitivity on this site about what others choose to download. (it got so crazy that AXXO and Klaxxon got sick of there name being tossed around the net. Did every one forget what the idea of amininity is???? I am sure they felt they had no choice since there user names were being brought up on other forums and such where the privacy was not guaranteed. They were just some nice people that had access to some great quality rips, often before they hit the DVD rental places. There contributions will be missed. I have a buddy that works at a local FOX tv station and he often seems to get many releases weeks before they hit the stores. He‘s perhaps too paranoid and doesn‘t post squat except to make some copies for me and a few of our friends once and a while. We went to highschool together... so part (2) that bothers me is not so much about this site or what file sharing method is best, but the huge hypocracy about how in the 70‘s/80‘s it was no big deal to make a tape that had various artists music recorded onto it. The Record stores sold the blank tapes at the cash register and some stores even sold Tape player/recorders there. In the end off the 80‘s DAT recorders came out so one could copy an album at the level of CD quality and no one got taken to court or fined 6 figures over this practice... It makes no sense. Telephone lines -vs- RCA cables??? The end result is the same. Lastly, the practice of trading music actually stimulated people to go buy a given artists music not the opposite, The reason is simple, when you down load an MP3 of the net... it in reality isn‘t any where near as High Fidelity as a CD made from the master tapes that you purchase. either it is copied to the persons computer with crappy equipment or encoding settings are not right, or you are getting a copy of a copy of a copy to the 10 th power..LOL.!!! When tapes ruled, we were always wanting to get a copy as xlose to the original as we could. We referred to this in terms of how many generations away from the master was the copy we had.... ANYWAY.... Its good to here that someone agrees with the insanity of it all. One more comment. I‘ll bet my home and cars that if you took the record sales excuse me, CD sales of a popular artist like GREEN DAY or U2 or Alisha Keys, or P Diddy (Puff Daddy to us old timers... keep on puffin or is that Keep on Trucken... what a long strange trip its been... truely) anyway...If you looked at these artists CD sales in 2001 and then looked at them NOW.... I‘d bet anything that they have steadily been making more and more money and higher and higher sales records. If someone is going to get in a high dollar law suite for copying a given artist‘s music, I would think any good defence attorney is going to insist to be shown how the copying of some ones music by person or persons X caused the given artist to show a LOSS of money. If zero LOSS is able to be seen, who got hurt????? seriously... let the punishment fit the crime. (I am referring to a case in 2003 where a 20 year old college student got fined some crazy number like 600,000.00 dollars... I have yet to find if the artist he had been making copies of had lost any money directly due to this one person mp3 file on there laptop. It is CRAZY!!!!!! anyway... take care... I wanted to pickup where my first comment left off. by for now.. EVERY one... keep on downloading till there is no hard drive or optical media left to put it on!!!! and PLAY YOUR MUSIC LOUD!!!!! Limewire as all torrent programs are downloaders. Seen as trojans. Second and most important to the amatuer user is you can easily pick up any sort of virus on any torrent download program as well as get yourself in a heap of trouble legally and financialy if you don‘t know what you are doing. I am not here to advertize. I would like to say though I am quite proficient an d still find myself in a place of discomfort from time to time. Pay the darn ten bucks for Torrent Privacy and what not. It works. Invest in good anti-virus if you are unsure about torrented anti-virus programs and keys. It ain‘t rocking it science. That is all. |

hey guys, blampum has a good point, forstwire is like LIMEWIRE PRO ON STEROIDS!!!!! andon top of that its free, spamware (and other shit) free and and it has a freeware license so itslegal to download it... If you try it you will definatly not regret having taken this advice, I did and I will never regret having done so guys!!
