The install runs part way then errors out. Digging further found it cannot extract essentials.pkg. The error said the media was bad. I re-burned, still same problem. I opened the iso and found the .pkg file, it seemed intact, around 700mb‘s. I am at a loss. Anyone have luck installing this? |

I downloaded this and the "Mac OS X Install DVD" dialog box appears, I click install then it tells me to restart so I enter my password and it thats all it does restart. Is there anyway for it actually install? And I have the most inexpensive MacBook so it doesnt have a SuperCombo drive so I cant rip a DVD or anything like that (I read some people were doing that) Can anyone help me please, I am so close!!! I could hardly install this version but here are some of the obstacles I had:
1.Sometimes accepts multiple system sometimes doesn‘t (both MAC OS X Windows), when it does. It boots normally for the 1st time. Then, I can only boot when MAC DVD is in.After that , it freezes never start 2.I had to install only MAC , it runs well. but I couldn‘t make it boot normally without inserting the DVD. Oui vous avez bien entendu : Mac OS X Leopoard sur votre PC ! Notez que cette méthode est encore expérimentalle, et que certaines choses peuvent vous paraître compliquées. Cest une méthode traduite de DailyApps, bonne chance à vous ! La première chose très importante à faire, est de sauvegarder vos données précieusement. Voici les choses dont vous aurez besoin pour effectuer cette méthode : Limage du DVD patchée Le fichier zippé (.ZIP) contenant le patch Un disque dur externe ou une clé USB formatée en FAT32 Etape 1 : Préparez notre installation Graver limage sur un DVD simple couche DVD-R avec un logiciel comme Nero. Formatez la clé USB et le lecteur et le nommer Patcher sans les guillemets. Notez quil doit être Patcher seulement, et rien dautre pour que la patch puisse fonctionner tout à lheure. Extraire le fichier Zip et mettre son contenu dans la clé USB. Maintenant votre clé USB devrait contenir un dossier appelé fichiers. Etape 2 : Linstallation de MAC OSX Leopard Maintenant que vous avez le DVD Patché avec vous, vous pouvez désormais installer Leopard. Pour commencer, mettez votre DVD patché dans votre lecteur et démarrez votre PC en appuyant sur F12 à linvite du BIOS. Le Boot du DVD et de linstallateur devrait maintenant charger. Cela peut prendre un certain temps, soyez patient. Sélectionnez votre langue et sélectionnez Personnaliser/Customize, cest ici que vous devez désactiver tous les paquets/package qui sont affichés. I am using acronis OS Selector to dual boot have it set up and it finds vista, i have created a primary 60gb partition for OS X however when installing OS X (which i got from this torrent) i go into disk utlity during set up to select the partition i want to install on but the only thing that shows up is my disk drive and the OS X dvd my HDD isnt detected and non of the partitions are there, i wonder if this is a driver issue does this ISO contain drivers including 3rd party also my hard drive is a seragate. thanx |

Guys, actually i have download it then i burned using nero. my laptop has intel T7700 2,4Ghz with 2GB memory and with 250GB SATA. My computer has 3 partition which first for Vista, second i‘ll prepare for mac then the last just for backup. It means that i have already one partition for mac. When i have burned it already, i reboot then i run it with my DVDROM, the mac was run but after that stuck up with bla..bla..bla something i dont know but it seems okay. So i restart again for new booting my apple. but this one im go on to apple mac configuration (i typed "-v"), i found that my partition said "partition (111,1) ToH x86 like that, i haven‘t found my other partition. What happen? The first boot, mac was booting then get stuck in the middle of running before install. CD problem or what? This wasting my time for downloading this file but get stuck with much problem. sigh. need help |

I downloaded the ISO file. Now how do I install Leopard? I just made a new burn folder and burned the ISO to a DL DVD. Do I just boot from this DVD now? if you‘re having any problems with multi partitions, i know with some mac releases you need to make it FAT32 for mac to see it, then you can reformat it into mac partition |

ok for those ignorant fools out there (most recently x3rmlygood, ayleighcoyle) you can not run this on vista without vmware or virtual box but i wouldn‘t reccommend it unless you have at least 1gb ram (ideally 2gb), this answers xtkdarkrider‘s question, yes you can run it on a vm. It IS probably compatible with your machines but unless you know your way around installing OSes then you will overwrite your current OS and files. |

I‘ve read al the tutorials, info, errors tips posted here (Thanks for everyone). But my installation is being blocked by a yet not dealt error, namly: Error: Firewire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure. Extension ‘‘com.apple.iokit IOBluetoothFamily‘‘ has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. Now I‘m no PC nerd but I think I understand what the error is, but I would have to idea how to fix it. Maybe if I delete com.apple.kernel or com.apple.kpi? Could someone please help me with this error, I would be glad to reward you. |

I have a Gigabyte EP45-UDP3-L with a Q8200 @3.29GHZ Processor. I get waiting for device after 1394 device. The it just keeps repeating every minute or so.

I really like the idea of installing macosx on my 17‘ Dell PC-laptop, Intel Core2Duo 2.0Ghz, 3GB ram. maybe I‘ll use a linux boot-cd image like gparted live http://gparted.sourceforge.net/livecd.php and use gparted partition-editor GUI to shrink my windows vista partition. I hope it works well.
