A lot of people are complaininig about not being able to use galaxy map,which it seems you won‘t reach for a few hours. Well I‘m still going to take it from here to preserve my FL ratio. Here‘s some of the bitching from people: 1) Galaxy map doasn‘t work ;/ I can‘t fly away from planet when I‘m ship commander. 2) Note that the crack is producing a problem with the Galaxy Map after the Citadel. So you won‘t be able to progress after that point until we get a proper. Nor can you manually save the game after a certain point. Auto-save still works, though. 3) Indeed this release have issues, some say they can use the galaxy map, but most can‘t (including me and 2 of my friends, all of us have diffrent hardware setups) 4) took me about 3 ½ hours to get to the point where you need to use the map, all you can see is a small area with the text Widow (I think) in it, the rest is completley black. Also when right-clicking it will zoom out the map, giving you visibility for a few milliseconds.. 5) Same problem with galaxy map makes me sadpanda 6) crack doesnt work properly, you cant enter the galaxy map and saving stops working after youve played for a little while 7) Bad crack! Quick Saving fails, odd things happen in the gambling mini-game, and the galaxy map problem. I guess we need to wait for Vitality? 8) U can travel the map but u can‘t land on planets... we will just have to wait for a crackfix... 9) you still cant land on planets 10) Commander Altair can‘t seem to go the Jerusalem system through his star map. That‘s too bad, but thanks very much for this awesome release, and I hope we get a fix soon! |

Yeah game is great BUT SOUND DOES NOT WORK! I just don‘t have any sound effects dialog or music. There is a sound on those FMV trademarks (EA, Bioware) but not in the game. What is going on? Anybody have the same problem? |

okay small update, from my side, finished DL the game, installed it, applied the crack. Game won‘t start for me, as system says that mass effect isn‘t working anymore as soon as I double click the mass effect icon. And no, it doesn‘t work either after a system reboot. My comp is 1 month old so I‘m pretty sure my system doesn‘t have any shortcomings in order to play this game. |

Yeah alright did some research, got game to work after reinstalling video drivers, still the game is almost unplayable on my computer due to a bug that only lets me play for a couple of minutes and then the game suddenly crashes (Bioware will be fixing that in an official patch but no ETA is stated yet so its not the release thats buggy) so in conclusion the release is good (not sure about the crack tho coz i downloaded 3 different ones simultaneously and at this stage i dont remember which one i used) |

Downloaded and works fine. Serial and crack both seem to work. However I can not save my game or use the galaxy map. Others seem to have this problem and are blaming it on the crack.

Works perfect. Downloaded quickly, installed it easily on Vista x32. I used Daemon Tools, Power ISO may not work. The crack kms provided works perfectly as well. I also made sure it does not install any adware or viruses, ran a couple scans after I installed it, came up clean. You can use this worry free. |

Appreciate the help, but no luck on any count. Copied the included .exe and patched it just fine. General protection fault. The default .exe securoms and key generator doesn‘t produce keys that function. Vitality and Ind crackfixes no luck either. The only .exe that will even run is the BioWare installed version. |

Oh, I get it now. I was thinking the mounting was done after the extraction the files were already unpacked. I already did the mounting using Power ISO (never trusted DT Pro because of the viri that came with so many downloads trying to get the Pro version.
It took me about 3 or 4 days of download, but I didn‘t leave my computer on straight through because my PC makes the temp in my room get to 75+ |

I cant get this to work,i have had the same probem as thegreatlilone. done the usual un_rarin and mounting and copied the crack accross to replace the origonal but when i run the game it freezes, i have been having this problem with alot of the games i have been downloading when i run them they screw up. I‘ve got it running now, I wasn‘t running the second patch and replacing the MassEffect.exe with the crack provided.
However, the game seems to take about 2 minutes to load after clicking on the icon, and the frame rate is rather jittery. Overall, I‘m just glad to get it running period. Does anyone else experiance the initial slow load-up time? Just curious is all. |

Hi, elessar79, well it takes around 3 min for me to start the game, you‘re lucky. There is Vitality crack available (much smaller exec 5Mb compared to 40Mb Proper), it seems to work OK (except permanent weapon overheating bug).
Some things I noticed on my machine: 1. Using very high resolution, game sometimes does not load after splash screen (windows reboot fixes this temporarily). (Proper, Vitality Vanilla) 2. With nVidia drivers earlier than 169.21 game fails to load (hangs with black screen and clock mouse cursor). 3. NVIDIA: If game crashes very often (sometimes with BSOD telling nvdisp is in infinite loop or smth), try using 169.21 forceware drivers, from my experience those drivers work much more stable than 175.16 with Mass Effect (havent tried 175.19 though, but they were released only 2 days ago). 1. Disabling sound using configuration utility, then try running a game, it might have something to do with audio drivers. 2. If you are running on Vista, try launching game as administrator. 3. If you have 9xxx series nvidia gpu there are 177.39 nvidia drivers out. 4. If newest nvidia drivers do not work try 169.21. 5. [This actually should only apply to original version as it is secorum problem] Find paul.dll file and rename it to oldpaul.dll, then try running a game. Hope this will help. |

ehem, sorry Mass Effect config utility seems to have no option how to disable sound. You can do it two ways:
Disabling sound card (systemwide) in device manager. Or read this http://www.tweakguides.com/ME_7.html , (search for bUseSound), it explains how to disable sound by modifying BIOEngine.ini file. |

I downloaded a galaxcy + save game patch andextracted it over all the other MassEffect.exe patch and got the map working, and everything else seems to work fine so far. I just don‘t know what to do once I‘ve selected a planet on the map to investigate. I know it sounds stupid, but I‘m playing the game by the seat of my pants, ie no manual etc. |

I just confronted a problem. I downloaded the game, and the crack loaded the crack km provided, but it says the crack can‘t find binkw32.dll, and I want to know how I can fix tha. Also everytime the MS launcher comes up it asks me my registration code, but the one I used to install the game is invalid, and I can‘t play the game. Is that because my crack can‘t find binkw32.dll? |

The game works perfectly! I mounted the image with daemon tools and installed it. I used a key from the keygen provided. After the instalation it asked me the key again. I inserted it but t didn‘t worked. Then i used the gmfix crack (didn‘t try out the one provided here because of many comments that it has problems) and it works just fine (didn‘t asked for key anymore :D)! Have fun playing this awesome game ;) |

Whe I start the game with the crack. It tells me to enter my registration code. ( The box with the EA logo to the left) it already has my KEY from when I installed the game allready there, but when I click "done" it tells me its wrong "re-enter and verify your Reg Code. WTF? Can anyone help me please??? This is the only thing thats keeping me from playing the game.

I have a strange error during installation: ‘Error opening file for writing‘.
When I check the install location, I see that the folder gets created at the beginning of the installation, then when it hits the error the folder is deleted. |

To all the people that had the Galaxy Map issue, i had the same problem and the solution is to update the game with a patch from the official site and get a new crack from GameCopyWorld.com or another game crack site. That‘s exactly what i did and i got the game working with no galaxy map issues. |

ive never had this problem before but where do i apply the crack the crack is called masseffect.exe and the launcher in the mass effect file is masseffectlauncher.exe so when i paste it in it doesnt replace it an it does not launch the game, when i try run the game it starts then prompts for a serial code again and will not work thanks |

You might as well buy the game. Because when you start the game you have to open up the "Mass Effect Configuration Utility" which crashes.. And this appears on people with AMD Quad Core computers, even though I have an Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0GHz it still crashes!
You can run the game through "Mass EffectBinariesMassEffect.exe" but the if you have a 19 inch wide screen monitor and you want to max out the resolution you can only do 1440x900 16:9 not 16:10. The graphics of the game are shit like the texture is not in high quality because you can only configure it through the Mass Effect Configuration Utility and I get some big bar on the bottom which is made up of rainbow colours.. I have visited the BioWare forums and to be able to get this fixed you need to patch the game which requires a legit serial key (I have already tried the serial keys through the keygen and it doesnt work). AND to be able to post on their forums you need to register your game with a legit serial key as well. So you might as well buy the game save the trouble and if you buy it you get a free expansion pack "Mass Effect: Bring Down the Sky" which includes fixes, patches and a whole new storyline with a extra race included. Since the game is like a year old the game is cheap and affordable, well in the United Kingdom its only £14.95. I am not trying to advertise and make you guys buy it, its for the people who will get this problem and the only way to fix this is to buy the game. Thanks for reading, AndymanSE8 |

Error when I try to install: seferun.exe and .dll files cannot be copied. If I click ignore on both, installer quits and reports failure. One more thing: There are a lot of CRC errors during manual install, which indicates very poorly done rip. This torrent is authentic but the quality is much less than satisfying. I‘d buy the game to avoid all this crap but I‘ve no idea if I‘m gonna like it. |

Work perfect, The game‘s pixel rating is really good for being a directx 9 game, I have everything maxed out on a 9600 GSO 768MB Nvidia card, Some games I can‘t max out on this budget card. The keygen is not a virus, most virus protection agents will identify keygens a a virus or hacking tool. |

Get the cracked update to fix the issues. Haven‘t played it for awhile but it works fine, I got about half way through game, and will go back to it eventually. It DOES work, but you will need to get a few files.

This file is good, but I had a bitch of a time getting it to work. I am running windows 7 so it may be different on a different OS. Mount the ISO (I used Virtual Clone Drive) and install normally. Use the keygen supplied. Then copy the masseffect.exe file to the binaries folder. Run as administrator the first time and everything is fine. |
