Ok, found the solution. The .gbi extention is a "gBuner" file. Just download gBurner here off BTjunkie(it‘s like 1.3 mb) to open it, and you‘re golden. It‘s a clean download, works fine. You just need to dl "gBurner" to open the .gbi file. |

MagicISO is the program that you need for extracting .gbi files. though after trying two versions of magic still couldn‘t get this mcafee to work! |

The file is not corrupt! A .gbi file extension requires a program called gBurner. use gBurner to open the the image and you‘ll be able to extract the files or burn to Disk. Clean DL!! Thx |

Hello Guys, I hav extracted .gbi file using gburner. But now how to install this. Which file I hav to install. Autorun.exe and cdsetup.exe are there, but whenever I clicking on those files, It opens just a mcaffe window and nothing is coming to proceed further in installation direction. Please help me, how to install mcaffe after extracting .gbi file. These folders/files came after extracting: de, en-GB, fr, it, Autorun.exe, Autorun.inf, CDSetRes.dll, CDSetUI.dll, CDSetup.exe, msbrwsr2.dll, mcutil.dll, misplf.dll, multi.ini, urls.ini.
Whenever I do double click on Autorun.exe or CDSetup.exe, It opens a window header with Mcaffe and content just blank and nothing is coming to proceed in installation direction. How to cope of this?? Plzz solve my pbm. Thnx!! |

I have the same problem as you. I clicked on CDSetup.exe and everything was going fine until it found Avast and AVG on my computer. I had to uninstall them and Mcafee said it would proceed with it‘s own installation after I restarted. Well after re-starting, it just hung up on a blank window. I deleted everything and started completely from scratch and now I have the exact same problem you do. Clicking on the Cd setup just leaves me at another blank window. |

The program is not a virus; it works great. Just finished downloading and installed. I also had to download the .gbi file which is a burning program. I then proceeded on downloading the mcafee. I then used the gbi burner and burned the mcafee into a CD. Once I burned the CD I simply popped it in and works just fine following the normal steps of installation. also just use your own email address to activate program. Works great!! Thanks for the download!! |

I got a faster way if this is not enough seeded:) go to this link from rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/files/294647865/McAfee_Total_Protection_2009_heartbug.rar and it is also 2009 from Mcafee and 100% save with all-in-one tools like Site-Advisor :D i got it also on my computer:) but mine is Total Protection and this is Total Security 2009:S dont know the difference |

I used gburner 2.6 (torrent found within) and the serial provided by buddoc to convert the .gbi to .iso - from there I installed McAfee in my Virtual Windows XP Pro (in Microsoft Virtual PC). It is the 12 month retail version. Just do what the readme sez and you should have no problems. I scanned the converted .iso with Kapersky 2010 and it was clean...who knows any more? |
