| This version also phones home and pops up a nag box that says patent authorization failed. C‘mon guys- hasn‘t anyone cracked the phone home and pop a nag annoyance yet? Looks like a rollback to version 7 for me. Oh, the nag pops up whenever you launch showtime to watch a flick btw. |

| Instructions:
During the installation, Nero gives you the option to enter the serial number. DO NOT enter the serial from the keygen right now. Leave the default one the installer gives you . After installation finishes, open Nero and close it. Now delete the file C:Program FilesCommon filesNeroSharedNL3NeroPatentActivation.exe , or even better block its acces to internet with a firewall. Now go to Neros start menu entry and enter the product setup. Here you can remove the trial serial and enter a new one. Now is when you have to put the serial from the keygen, and remember also to deactivate the automatic updates in this window. | All you need to do is change the file name to xxx.exe.bu or something like it and the phone home won‘t work anymore. |

| wow thanks all i did was change the file name on the NeroPatentActivation.exe file like Paully said and I no longer get the nag... I had trouble locating the file at first... so i just put activation.exe in file search and found it pretty quick that way... works great though just install it like the directions say and change that file name and you will be all set!!! |

| jiltedjon0 You rock dude. It‘s all in that file you mentioned. Delete it and bye bye nags. This method of his also works on the full DVD released by "Proper" full boxed version. Get that version to get the extra goodies like skins and no reference to demo version anywhere. Have to use a keygenned number to install it though. Although I already bought an earlier version of this proggy I can‘t see buying another version just for some GUI changes. If you like this program, buy it. Good software deserves our support for them to keep making it. |

| Whenever in any dvd burn app i am about to burn a video dvd regular put in dvd player dvd - I Reboot - always. If i burn a data or other format i do not. I don‘t know why this is but has consistantly been like this for some time with few exceptions. Is there a way i can convert video to vob alone or with other files as a data dvd but it will boot in reg dvd player as a video dvd and play? |
