I‘m being a nut I‘m sure, don‘t normally have a problem but i can‘t seem to install this. Game has downloaded ok and i have all the files extracted but thats as far as i can get. Any help please?

Answers:
"What burning thing.. ?" I assume you mean how do you burn the image? I haven‘t downloaded yet, but there are several programs. I prefer to MOUNT the Image and install it first, then use NERO to Burn the files in the Virtual Drive because I turn on file VERIFICATION. In general: 1) Extract the Foldres or Image if needed (sometimes you need to open Winrar FIRST and browse to the compressed files) 2) Mount or Burn the Image or Folders (I recommend Installing first to test) 3) Read Instructions and also search Gamecopyworld and/or Google for Patches and NoCD/DVD cracks 4) Make a COPY of anything you modify (in case of problems and also to be able to patch again in the future) 5) Overwrite the files (often just the main EXE) Other: -may need to Mount a small Image or deal with new Security features -try to download only games with instructions for installing (I download ONLY the instructions first. I use uTorrent and STOP and modify the files before ever starting a download) -If you can‘t create a folder on the CD/DVD, make a Games directory on your hard drive with Subfolders which include for each game: Instructions, Patches and Cracks. |

about Vista:
I‘m going to do more testing in a dual-boot situation but the current situation is very bizarre. Averaging new cards down to older 6600GT ATI and NVidia cards over multiple benchmark tools and games shows an AVERAGE of 80% performance on Vista compared to XP. Again, it‘s an average. Don‘t wait for DX10 on XP. Once the issues get sorted out, spending about 130 for Vista Premium (OEM) is probably not that bad. However, currently it‘s difficult to say whether XP or Vista is best for a particular game. Most or all DX10 games are coded for DX9. DX10 should be prettier, but if XP performs better it might offset the DX10 benefits. If you use EAX audio you need to read this or Google "eax creative vista" http://techreport.com/discussions.x/11687 A lot of people are pissed at Creative. It‘s nobody‘s "fault"; people want more security and less crashes in Vista but don‘t want (or understand) what needs to happen to accomplish this. For some cards you can pay 10 to get an increasing number of games working in Vista like they did in XP. Hey, Creative has to pay people to fix something that‘s not their fault so what are you going to do? These are just growing pains and if people don‘t like it, don‘t buy Vista. I think, however, Microsoft has failed the average gamer in the ease of "upgrading." Dropped audio support and lower frame rates aren‘t really encouraging at almost a year into the release. *Anyway, it‘s going to take a while yet to sort things out. My advice to a lot of gamers is to dual-boot XP and Vista. If you take some time and learn about how to protect your system for FREE you can even save money from not paying for Virus protection. How? 1) make a backup of your C-Drive 2) Use Firefox and NoScript 3) Use Windows Defender and a good free Antivirus app like AVG I digress. Remember, Google and Wikipedia are your friends in the quest for knowledge. Oh, one final thing. If you have a dual-core CPU and are in the market right now for a video card I recommend either the ATI HD3870 or the NVidia 8800GT. The HD3870 is slightly cheaper, has DX10.1 and awesome power management. The NVidia 8800GT has excellent raw gaming performance for the money. Both cards have great Hardware decoders for video. Since Vista, DX10 and the graphics drivers for both NVidia and ATI (for Vista) still have a ways to go it‘ll be interesting to see how the benchmarks compare a year from now. Personally, I prefer ATI‘s HD3870. |

Don‘t know why but it didn‘t work for me.. Everytime I start the game it would say Loading then immediately crash to desktop..
