Canada always gets a bad rap,or laughed at..byut We did fight, being a new country....But be ashamed Canada for treating the real Canadians, badly, like slaves and taking away their native indian language.. Now its ok to speak chinese, paky, german, russian etc, in canada. And most tribes have lsot their way of speaking.... the first to be taken and first to be lost.
So be ashamed for this. |

But for the record, what was done to Canadian aboriginals was horrific. It was probably drastically less horrific than what would have happened if the Aztecs had gotten to Canada before the French/English. That being said, Canada is getting progressively better at recognising and addressing these historical wrongs. There is a ‘truth-and-reconsiliation‘ committee to investigate the residental school abuses, and there are millions of taxpayer dollars going towards aboriginal language and culture preservation programs. On top of that, aboriginals today have extra rights that other citizens don‘t have (free university, allowed to jack deer, etc), but don‘t have all of the responibilites that other citizens have (not paying taxes, etc). Were you even aware of this? The past is irrecoverably over, and all we can do is build a future in which aboriginal language/culture are encouraged to thrive. So take your shame and stuff it! And while I‘m at it, I have two more points: 1) What the hell is "paky" language? 2) Do you have any clue how racist the term "paky" is? You might want to clean up your own house before you start preaching. |
