For those of yu that cant get it working, are you using an x64, or AMD64 system? (BTW this also works if you‘re having problems with xp sp3),
If so you may need to download the patch from the propellerhead site, it‘s free and they don‘t ask any info. Here‘s a link: http://www.propellerheads.se/support_area/files/ReCyclePatch.zip Wha t does this patch do? This patch adds some registry parameters that ReCycle expects to find in order to run. In addition, uninstall information is also entered in the registry. The utility installs itself to be launched every time Windows starts. Note: For owners of Vista: If you reboot your computer, Vista will prompt you to manually run the ReCyclePatch.exe. This automatic blocking is related to the UAC (User Account Control) functionality in Windows Vista, and requires you to manually run certain startup items each time you log in. Here‘s what you should do. 1. Click on the Download ReCyclePatch link below. 2. Unzip the downloaded file "ReCyclePatch.exe." 3. Put the file in your ReCycle folder (in Program Files). Note: the file ReCyclePatch.exe must not be deleted or moved after it has been installed. If it is, the patch will not work after the reboot of Windows. Hence we recommend that you put the file in your ReCycle folder before you run the patch. 4. Double-click the ReCyclePatch.exe file. A menu is displayed. Press the key ‘i‘ on the keyboard to start the installation. The patching completes in fractions of a second. You will only have to perform this once. i dont know if this helps.....but i couldnt get this file to work for the longest time. i can usually figure stuff out and eventually i got it to work. this is what i did.
1. ran the install that i downloaded 2. went to open it up and it kept asking for the cd. this is where i kept getting stuck. 3. i would open the patch/keygen file 4. i kept trying to open the exe file i downloaded with the patch/keygen and nothing would happen 5. then i took a shot in the dark and clicked on the patch/keygen. when the window popped up, i went to the desktop icon on the left. on my desktop was the shortcut for recycle. i opened that instead and i got a message saying the cd check has been removed. 6. then i opened the program off the desktop and it worked!!!!!!! try it out and see if this works for you then post to let others know if it works or not |

guys...it works...i followed Nick1120‘s instructions...i downloaded the patch from here
http://www.propellerheads.se/support_area/files/ReCyclePatch.zip then...i run patch and keygen...i patched the file...and then i opened the programm...it asked me for serial...i copied the serial from patch and i pasted...and it works perfect...;) |

hey guys, its really easy (REAL EASY): 1- download the file (duh)= 2- when download completed, install the file (its in the download folder next to Patch Keygen called propellerhead recylcle 2.1 (doubleclick on it))= 3- When install finished, go to your desktop, there you‘ll see the recycle icon, doubleclick on it. Then a error message will appear telling you need a cdkey or something:), just click ok then. = 4- go to the folder where your download files (Patch Keygen) are, then doubleclick on Patch Keygen, when you doubleclick on it you‘ll get a window with a serialnumber on it just click on patch and wa - la you‘ll get a message saying NO CD key needed bla bla bla and now you can work with recycle. hope this works for you cheap bastards:) (I did it on Windows xp sp3) |

This is just ridiculous, i did everything that clouch said but it still isn‘t working. There should be an easier way to do this because not only is it confusing, it‘s time consuming. I don‘t even want to make a beat now thanks to this drawn out process. |

i had to come back and say that i did finally get past the cd check, and honestly i feel kind of retarded because of how simple it was. there‘s a couple things that the guys above didn‘t mention that i will here. first off, make sure you‘re running it as admin (whether through the actual acct or just plugging in the password). then, as the guys before said, open the keygen and hit "patch". this is where i was stuck: no one said anything about closing the rejection prompt BEFORE running the keygen on the desktop icon. close it and you should have no problems. |

Tjaland it is really easy. I am running on Vista 64....here is what you do
1. Download and install recycle. 2. run the keygen patch 3. Click on the patch button 4. Locate the recycle.exe in in your program files folder and select it. 5. you should see a message that say the cd check has been removed. 6. If you are running Vista 64, you have the patch Nick1120 was talking about. http://www.propellerheads.se/support_area/files/ReCyclePatch.zip 7. unzip and move the recyclepatch.exe into your program file folder where your Recycle.exe is located. 8. You are done. |

Oh yeah when you open up recycle and it asks for a license number, just go back to the patch keygen and copy the icense number that was generated....and you should be gold.
Remember you only need to download the recycle patch in step 6 if you can‘t open recycle after you finish step 5. |

Guys, I need help. I am running Windows Vista Home premium 32 bit version sp 2. I Unzipped the patch from the propellerheads website, command prompt stated my computer did not need to be patched. I went and disabled the UAC so that the patch can work and nothing.
I downloaded the patch and recycle folder. unzipped. ran setup.exe installed fine upon launch stated" please insert original cd for proof of purchase. I opened up the keygen, clicked patch, then a pop up window comes out to find the patch, findthe patch, and it DIDN‘T close the cd check box. I tried it again but this time clicking the recycle.exe and still nothing. please help and shed light on this. there has to be something im doing wrong. |
