i have the same problem, maybe there is a way to mount a .rar file? or the dmg? i‘m fairly new to mac so i‘m not too sure how to get it working. you‘re probably just supposed to burn the dmg to a dvd. i‘ll keep looking, if anyone figures it out please help! |

I read your comment on the other file, followed you instructions, and still it doesn‘t work. Could you please be VERY specific about what exactly you did to get the file to work? You said that you didn‘t need the DVD that you made.. could it be that you actually DO need the DVD? |

Im pretty new to this kinda thing,and all i hear see is that you need a dvd to mount it off? I would really appreciate it if someone posted a dimmed-down step-by-step walkthrough for the benefit of me and hopefully others. Any programs needed? DVD? etc. Thanks |

ok i think the reason its not working is that you obviously need to have the disc... so..click on the first .rar using Unrar and it should extract them all to the same directory that the .rar‘s are in...
then you should see a .dmg file... this is the file you need to burn to disc.. this is as far as ive got as it didnt let me burn it using osx‘s default burner.. so im downloading something called Toast Titanium atm...hopefuly shud be able to burn it.. ill post back later and let you all know how if it works... |

I has this working for a few months up until about 3 weeks ago and all of a sudden reason is asking for me to insert the disk. I tried reinstalling reason, but the same thing is happening. I‘ve even burned the .dmg file to a dvd and tried that but it‘s still not working. Any suggestions? |

The SN(RSN400-0002-478283-F32Q-LBW6-7FXP) added in the file zeer.txt is not working - says the licenese nr is entered incorrectly.

yo when I tried it, I burned it through my pc and moved it over to my mac. It worked but the only problem is, it is asking for Reason 4 DVD. Any suggestions on what to do when this pops up? |

1. When you‘ve completed your DL, double click onthe first .rar file and allow it to extract the files.
2. Using Toast, mount the .dmg file. 3. Open the image and drag the "Reason" folder, containing the app and 3 folders (demos, documentation, templates) up to the "Applications" alias or straight over to the Applications folder, whichever you prefer. 4. After the "Reason" folder copies over, enter Applications-Reason and double click on the app. 5. When asked, use the following SN: RSN400-0000-196222-B8RJ-F24C-ATMX That should be it. And don‘t be stupid and go register your copy... |

I tried both burning the .dmg onto a DVD and mounting it without a DVD using Toast. I still can only get as far as the window where it asks to see the disc. When I insert the disc I made with the .dmg on it it doesn‘t register and I am forced to quit.
I don‘t get why it‘s working for some and not others...please help?? |

hey all. the instructions were great. until I got to the "enter SN" where the SN above was not accepted. I tried entrying 3 times. I tried for a fourth but the program closed. When I tried again a window popped up stating I need to insert CD (this sounds similar to other people comments). I deleted the folder in the applications and went through the process again but couldn‘t even get through. So I am now downloading the whole thing again, to see if I have any better luck.
Just wondering if anyone has any other advice or another SN to use? |

MAKE SURE that after you copy and paste the serial, you delete the extra space at the end of it...it automatically puts a space at the end when u cp but it won‘t work that way

mulier... if your still wondering, you need to download something called unRarX(its free much like almost anything else). This program allows you to extract the actual .dmg needed to run the program...then follow the steps up above. |

Works brilliantly, and I think I have a fix for anyone trying this and is still told to insert the disc. I first mounted the .dmg file without using toast, just the inbuit image mounter, and it still asked me for the disc, but then I unmounted the drive and re-mounted it with toast and it worked. Perfect. |

Did it! Worked perfectly! One crucial step for installation: Once you‘ve mounted the disc in Toast, and you see the little disc icon in your Finder. Click on it. Drag the actual Reason program to your applications. NOT THE ENTIRE FOLDER!! Repeat! DO NOT FOLLOW DISC PROMPTS AND DONT DRAG TO INSTALL! Once you drag the reason application, open it in applications and everything should work. |

One problem... I don‘t even get a disc icon after mounting... don‘t know why. I use toast 10 and select the .dmg file I want to mount (reason 4.dmg.) and press mount, but it does nothing but think for a second and then it nothing happens... what am I doing wrong?! |

i installed toastmount, and i‘ve gotten to the point where i see the toastmount icon of the CD and "toaster" and when i click that it says "install toast before you use toastmount".. any help is greatly appreciated! |
