Seriously, go to www.inrainbows.com and get yourself a legit copy. If you really don‘t want to pay, you don‘t have to. I gave them six bucks (or 3 pounds), and that‘s considerably more than they‘d get from the record company per CD. I‘m certainly not condemning BitTorrent, but when an artist generously provides a legal alternative, you should definitely take advantage of it. |

if you are reading this it means that you not going to pay for download from radioead and you are about to click DOWNLOAD TORRENT and you just to lazy to pick up your credit card, but if you want to pay whatever you wish you have to add ONE POUND (money in UK)for downloading, it is not a lot (2), but made me angry anyway, because I wasn‘t expecting any additional charge.

Writing music takes talent, but it is a lot of work. not to mention producing the recording. the band will spend a lot of money for studio time and the time of many people contributing to album artwork, etc and need compensation. That said, I‘m going to download this to try-before-I-buy because I‘ve heard mixed reviews. |

Being a musician myself I believe where a band should make money is by playing shows live because thats where the real talent is, putting it together on stage. If you don‘t have that then your not really a musician. I will keep getting albums for free because I want to know what they can do, but to really know weather they are good you need to see them live so thats where they deserve to make the money. |

Cass22, you clearly dont write songs. I assure you its a little more difficult than playing them. If the quality of a live show was so important than everyone would just play covers. And unless you are a big band like Radiohead are, the overheads for touring often eclipse the profits. Practicality prohibits your "beleifs" becoming a reality, unless everyone is up for paying even MORE for gig tickets? And Radiohead are a shit live band anyway. |
