How to play video with external subtitles(srt, sub, idx) in Windows AVI/DivX/XviD video Install VobSub or VSFilter/DirectVobSub, rename the subtitle file to the same name as the video file but with the extension .srt(or.sub). Example: video.avi video.srt Play the AVI with your favorite software video player and the subtitles should appear. You should also see a green arrow in the system tray, right click on it to change subtitles settings. Ie change the .srt file to: Rendition[2007]DvDrip[Eng]-FXG.srt |

deanjim : don‘t forget you need to copy/burn the "03. Rendition[Eng][Subs].srt [85KB]" onto your DVD as well. thats the subtitle track. then switch the subtitles on on your DVD player. all done. :) |

It‘s a great copy but I have the same question as above, I can see the subs when watching on pc but I cant copy/burn the subs track onto a dvd, it reads "INVALID DOCUMENT. UNEXPECTED TEXT IN FILE PROLOG". But I think I need a program to open that (.srt) because I open it with wordPad since someone recommended to do so. Can anyone help please ?? |

dearjim conejo, If UR trying to convert to DVD format, I don‘t know if nero does it. ConvertXtoDVD definitely will. Otherwise, U can try combining subs with AVI using either a prog like WinAVI or DivX converter, then burning resulting file to a dvd. |

make sure you keep the subtitles, it is in english, but most of the movie takes place over seas they are speaking in their native language. |

The subs work but you have to rename the .srt file first to match the movie filename. The only thing that annoys me is there are subs for the entire film, including the english speech. Not just for arabic. |
