The story of Jamal Malik, an 18 year-old orphan from the slums of Mumbai, who is about to experience the biggest day of his life. With the whole nation watching, he is just one question away from winning a staggering 20 million rupees on India's "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" But when the show breaks for the night, police arrest him on suspicion of cheating; how could a street kid know so much? Desperate to prove his innocence, Jamal tells the story of his life in the slum where he and his brother grew up, of their adventures together on the road, of vicious encounters with local gangs, and of Latika, the girl he loved and lost. Each chapter of his story reveals the key to the answer to one of the game show's questions. RESOLUTION RATING : 9/10 MOVIE ` PIECE OF MIND ` : 9/10. OMG...everyone raved about this movie and yes, it is worth the rave and possibly up for an Oscar nomination, for its sheer genius. I liken it to City of God, but not as brash and violent. It has the same amount of character and guts in the movie....it is truly original. It is a must see and it`s so good that I would probably take up the change to work for its promotion team, for free. |

Great download. 10/10 A/V. I thought it was great for a screener had property of pop up a couple times during the movie but all in all was good. Quality‘s good and the movie is just amazing.
Absolutely beautiful movie, really sad and very, very well done. I paid to see Mall Cop in theatres and I can‘t believe that movie made about 10 times as much money as this one. This movie deserves a lot more and once it wins an oscar, I hope many people will at least rent it. |

I really recommend their album as it costs 10 dollars and is not readily available. A lot of the music style you hear in the soundtrack is on this album...cheers

I don‘t know why Indians are claiming it as an Indian movie. It may be shot in India, with Indian actors, an Indian music composer, and about a city in India... but it was directed by a very talented British director, distributed in America by an American studio (as opposed to an Indian banner that distibutes Indian films in America). So how can anyone claim it‘s an "Indian" flick... grow up, everything that has something or someone Indian in it doesn‘t automatically make it Indian property!

chrisiscrysis, I know the story is taken from a book written by an Indian author and that author sold the rights to his book for money. It‘s not a new phenomenon. The movie is obviously going to be different because it‘s not a simple copy and paste as you claim. If it were a copy/paste then it would be the same as the book, wouldn‘t it Einstein? The story was probably re-written for the screen multiple times. That‘s what happens in the movie business. I can understand you‘re proud of your country but saying that 6 of the world‘s richest men are from India doesn‘t make it a great country. I mean Indians are almost 1/6 of the world population and only 6 of the richest are Indians? And likewise, the fact that India has poor slums doesn‘t make it a crap country either. Don‘t use lame facts because it only makes you look bad.

using nero 7 drag the avi file into nero vision open nero vision click make a dvd then drag file in to it can make a menu or just cancel that and then more along click burn and off it goes will recode it back to dvd file and burn it to the dvd
