Works Great, After You install Vegas Pro and open the Keygen, set the keygen up for Vegas pro and then click Patch at the bottom. Direct the patch to the file folder that you installed Vegas Pro in and then when it is done follow the read me inst. found in the download as to the rest. |

If it dont work, your patching the wrong file!!! do as the instructions say and open the keygen as administrator (vista users only) when u click patch go to drive (c:) then program files, then sony, then highlight vegas pro 8 and start patch, then follow the instructions from then on, sorted!! |

IT WORKS. FAST DOWNLOAD! JUST USE UR BRAIN!
1. Click on vegaspro80b_enu 2. If it says you require Microsoft.Net Framework 3.0 download it (need internet) this might take a while. If not go to step 5. 3. When that is finished, click ‘install‘. 4. If you have problems with this, for example it asks you to insert a disk cancel it and continue with installing Vegas. (I didnt end up installing it, what happened was it took ages to install and then said it couldnt. But then it had the option to cancel or skip or something which I pressed and everything worked in the end anyway.) 5. You should get a box come up saying ‘please wait while Setup configures the components. This might take several minutes‘ and it will (take several minutes). 6. Once this is done, go to ‘program files‘ in C:, and find Sony setup. Inside, there will be a Vegas folder. Find the vegas80_enu and click on it. 7. Follow the on screen instructions, so that it installs Vegas and the plugins. 8. The set up box froze on my pc for a bit, but then a ‘finished installation‘ box appeared, so this is normal. 9. Now find a folder just called ‘Sony‘ (because you have now set up the program ;-) 10. Inside should be the shared plug-ins, and Vegas. 11. Go back to the files I gave you and open the keygen. The music is meant to be there lol. 12. Choose Vegas Pro 8.0 (build 179) from the first drop down box. 13. Click on the patch button. 14. A box will appear. Find ‘Program Files‘, ‘Sony‘ and click on the Vegas folder within. Note the box should say select Vegas Pro directory. It will then say patching in progress. DO NOT CLOSE KEYGEN. 15. Go into the folder you just patched into (Sony Vegas) and, oh my!, all the files are now ‘unpackaged‘. 16. Find a circular image that says ‘vegas80‘. Click on it, and a box will appear asking for the serial code. 17. Open up the keygen again and paste the serial number into the box that popped up. Press next. DO NOT CLOSE KEYGEN. 18. Then choose ‘register from another computer‘ this is important. 19. Fill in the details. You do not have to enter in an address, merely fill in: First Name Last name Country You will see they are in bold. Then check the second box at the bottom, uncheck the first one if u want to. 20. Click next. A box will pop up asking you to save a file called ‘register vegas pro.htm. 21. Save it to documents (you will not need it, but you must save it.) 22. Click next, and it will ask you for an activation code. Open up keygen again, and copy paste the activation code into the box. The code is longer than the box it is in, make sure you highlight all the letters to copy. The code will fill the whole activation box that popped up- if it doesnt, go back to the keygen and check that you selected all of the code. 23. Ok. You have pasted in the code. Click finish... Now, you can close the keygen... 24. Vegas will start up! It will take a while to start up at first. YOU ARE DONE! |

Same here, I have Vista, opened it the way you suggested and followed the directions very carefully. When I try to patch the file it says "An error has occured while trying to patch this file. First keygen worked fine, Activation code is not valid.

Be sure to follow the activation instructions exactly. A common mistake would be to apply the patch to the default folder. MAKE SURE that you navigate to the Vegas Program file folder as directed in the read me file. I accepted the default file folder too quickly and screwed up the first time. If you do it correctly, it works like a charm!

I had problems with keygen at first, but what you need to do is Follow the Readme Instructions to a T, and when you need to use keygen, open it buy right clicking and running as administrator. The way you open keygen is the source of all the problems I had. The Program itself also works great! |

Still having problems though. Followed all the different advice above and on the read me file. The closest i‘ve got is following GrapesUnderPressure‘s advice above. I followed it to a T only to find that after sucessfully patching and entering the a serial number the same problem occured. you guessed it... the bloody activation code. Any advice? Using Vista, tried both opening keygen as administrator and not. Also opened from the correct place, blah blah blah blah. any ideas? |

Scrap my previous posts.... I‘VE FINALLY DONE IT!!!!!
what i was doing wrong was patching the incorrect file. When you click patch and locate the sony file in C:// click on vegas80 out of the two files, don‘t, as i did, open vegas 80 and patch the file in there called... vegas80, this won‘t work. The key finally does work after that. So, to conclude, i followed grapesunderpressure‘s advice to a T but added opening the keygen as an administrator and patched the correct file as above. It works everyone, and i‘ve unistalled this thing at least 8 times to get it, but I feel 500 hundred pounds richer for sticking with it. Good luck, all you need is above, just keep at it if your having hours of trouble like i did. |

Thank you very much! Installed on Windows Vista 32bit. The readme should be sufficient, but if you‘re having trouble, here‘s what I did:
1) Install the program (double-click "vegaspro80b_enu", follow instructions. Don‘t change the installation directory; it should be C: Program Files Sony Vegas Pro 8.0) 2) Open the Keygen. **If you are using Vista, RIGHT-CLICK THE KEYGEN, AND SELECT "Run as Administrator" OR THIS WILL NOT WORK**. Be annoyed at the music. Select "Vegas Pro 8.0a (Build 179)" in the dropdown menu. 3) Click "Patch". Browse to the folder where you installed to before. Again, if you didn‘t change it, it should be "C: Program Files Sony Vegas Pro 8.0". Have that folder, "Vegas Pro 8.0" highlighted when you click "OK". 4) Click "OK". It should go through a short patching process, and tell you the patch was successful once it‘s finished. 5) Still in the Keygen. Have "Vegas Pro 8.0a (Build 179)" selected from the dropdown menu. Click "Generate" a couple of times for good luck (this is just my OCD). DON‘T CLOSE THE KEYGEN. 6) Open Vegas Pro 8.0 from the Start Menu, a desktop shortcut, whatever. It will ask for your serial number. Enter the serial number from your Keygen window. 7) Advance. When it asks, choose to activate from another computer. Fill in some info...it doesn‘t matter what you write in. 8) When it asks for your authorization code, use the one from your Keygen (I HOPE IT‘S STILL OPEN!!). Advance to finish. 9). Voila. *Note: When I opened Vegas for the first time, it asked me to update to Version 8.0c. I downloaded and installed, and it all went fine, so don‘t worry about it not working once you update or something. |

I finally patched the file "vegas80.zip" but when I enter the authentication code it comes up saying
"The authentication code is not correct, please check that it has been entered correctly. Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 has not been registered." Help? |

Windows Vista users. Right click "Keygen.exe" Run as Administrator, choose "Vegas Pro 8.0a (Build 179) click on "Patch", browse to the folder "(C:Program FilesSonyVegas Pro 8.0)", and patch the WHOLE folder "Vegas Pro 8.0", once completed copy and paste serial and authentication code! |

Hey, I‘m another person having trouble on vista - i‘ve patched successfully, but i‘m having trouble with the activation code - i click open as admin with vegas - and it goes straight to the "another computer bit" without asking for the serial code - i‘m filling everything in beyond that point and it keeps saying the authentification code is wrong? Any idea‘s?? x |

Works Great. I downloaded the file, and the keygen works pretty well, but I had to download Microsoft Framework .NET 3.0 and Service Pack 2 for XP because It requires it and I Didn‘t have it but after I got that It worked awesome. Good job. No Problems yet. |

when i downloaded this at first McAfee said that it was quaratined anyway my Keygen didn‘t work so I downloaded it from

keygen you must copy into folder with vegas.exe,then change it for vegas 8 ver.a.And then click PATH, after that paste visible codes. It works great. Thanks a lot! |

This is beautiful and works. 1 Problem I had tho... When I tried to patch it with the keygen, the default directory was my download folder... I went crazy trying to figure out why it wouldnt accept my activation code. Realized the problem, and re-directed the keygen to patch the sony folder inside program files. Just watch out for that if you have problems. Follow GrapesUnderPressure‘s instructions if you have trouble, this WORKS! |

Had the same problem with the activation code not being right. was all in MY ERROR... MAKE SURE you do not open the registration till the keygen is patched over and it will work great! |

Works as advertised,If Key gen is not working it‘s probably because your anti virus program has quarantined it.Best practice for this download is 1]Remove Dennis stalker from tracker list
2]Turn your internet security off whilst downloading otherwise Key gen might not work [quarantined as virus]...OR download with security on,then delete torrent and data,download torrent again but un tick all parts of torrent other than Key Gen WITHOUT SECURITY ON! 3]Turn your security OFF whilst install [otherwise KEY GEN will not work yet again,it will think it a virus,it isn‘t} Follow GrapesUnderPressure‘s to the letter,take your time. Works beautifully.
I had issues with the activation code "not working", but that‘s I should have opened the Keygen, hit PATCH, and THEN open Vegas to enter the serial number and activation code. |

So here‘s the deal.
Once i run the Vegas Pro Setup and install the program, there‘s no "READ ME" file that tells us how to install it. I open the Keygen, select Sony Vegas Pro 8.1 Series, and click Patch. After that, i go to C:/Program Files/Sony, and once i enter that folder, there is no .exe for me to select to patch. It‘s just a folder. And when i try to patch it, an error occurs. Can someone post the EXACT steps how to do this? I‘m having trouble patchingi t. |

Everything works. Install Sony Vegas Pro 8 first before using the keygen to patch. After installation move the keygen to the Sony Folder in your Program files. Open the Keygen and click on Patch. Now you have a working Sony Vegas Pro 8. |

I have been doing this for hours on end, and still haven‘t gotten the Activation Code/Authentication Code correct
I‘m using the DI Keygen and I keep getting the error message of "The Authentication Code is not correct" and all that. I have been copy/pasting the code, I‘ve run it as an administrator (I have Vista), I‘ve made sure to patch the codes before opening the registration... I‘ve read and tried every tip in the comments above, nothing is working! My serial code is fine and patching is going fine, but how do I get this authentication code?! Please help asap |

I earlier installed Sony Vegas Pro 8.1 (and was using hte 8.1 option on the keygen), but I recently deleted all of my Sony files so I could install 8.0, the file included with this torrent I also deleted the folders from my Recycle Bin and now when I want to install 8.0, it says that I have a later version installed need to uninstall it before proceeding How can I get 8.1 off my computer for good now?? |

I‘m running Windows 7 RC 32bit and it installed fine. Make sure to allow full control of permissions of the Sony folder you install, otherwise the patch will come up with an error. |

OK I just got it to work! It was not working, I de-install the program 2 time to finally make it work! READ the READ_ME_FILE at the bottom! install Vegas when that is finish open the "keygen.exe" when you click "patch", YOU NEED TO BROWSE to Sony directory (C:Program FilesSonyVegas Pro 8.0) The "keygen.exe" by default will install the patch where it is located, that is the bittorrent directory. ( That was my fist mistake ) THEN YOU CLICK PATCH and don‘t close the freaking keygen file! now open vegas and enter all the codes BINGO! ps- I was also wondering why am I install Vegas 8.0b when the patch is only 8.0a, that did not make any difference. Worked for me.
Remember, when you open your keygen, FIRST SELECT SONY VEGAS 8 BEFORE PATCHING IT. It was on Sound Forge 9.0 for me, so switch it to Vegas Pro 8.0 and then patch it, you‘ll be good to go. |

vista it‘s: program filessonysony vegas pro with vista right click keygen, run as admin, then it will work. katikalda, it works fine on x.p, follow instructions, but for vista when your using the KeyGen right click Run as admin. then it will work otherwise, you need fresh copy of windows. |

Alright everyone, this works fine. The keygen works, no its not a virus. A lot of virus protection software considers keygens virus‘s.
In order to install: Step 1: Install Vegaspro80b_enu.exe (After installation do NOT run) Step 2: Run the keygen and make sure it is under Vegas Pro 8.0a (Build 179) Than click PATCH and go under Program FilesSonyVegas Pro 8.0 and patch it under that file. Note. Do NOT expand Vegas Pro 8.0, just patch it directly to that folder. Step 3. After the patch is complete don‘t regenerate the serial and activation, Just run sony vegas. Type in the serial, and than when it goes to the registration page selection choose register from another computer. (You can just delete the file later so save to desktop) Step 4. Fill out the information, doesnt really matter what you put however your First and Last name will show on the startup of the program so lets say I wanted it to say Asterisk Productions, my first name would be Asterisk, and my last; productions. Step 5. Copy and paste the authentication code and finish and you are done. IF IT DID NOT WORK you might have: Patched it to the wrong file You might have regenerated the code after patch Mis typed the serial or Authentication. Enjoy the program |
