Every high def video I have is a .mkv, I imagine this one will be as well. Download CCCP and you can view .mkv‘s through windows media.

I just finished downloading, and it is a MKV file. That sucks. VLC plays it, but I really wanted to stream it through my XBOX 360 to my HDTV. |

ok kiddies, heres the deal. great copy all around. use 7zip to unpack it, then you can either use kmplayer, vlc or media player classic to watch. hope you have a nice pc tho or it wont play(like mine, it sucks and wont play the mkv file) but if you want a better than dvd quality copy you will need to convert it with convertXtodvd and then watch it. thats what i did and it works beautifully. should end up with about a 3gig file in the end. |

Hey Guys I found out something Interesting. PLEASE READ!!! When you download Bluray movies (2GB to 6.7GB in size) you can actually put it on Standard DVD disk (4.5GB). Download and install Convert X to DVD software, open Bluray file (Can be any format, .avi,.mkv format preferred). Press Convert and Youre DONE. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD. The film is definitely clear, however, it‘s not as sharp as I was wanting it/expecting it to be though - even for almost 8GB. I was expecting it to be pin sharp, but sitting quite a distance away, it just looks like an excellent encoded dvd. It‘s worth downloading, but don‘t go expecting a pin sharp picture though. To me, it just looks clear when sitting about 6ft away, but not sharp though. Other people might disagree though. |

What the hell are you talking about sirus444? You WON‘T get Blu-Ray quality on standard dvd, because if you convert it to dvd format, the software will reduce the resolution to 720x576, which is a long way off 1280. I urge everyone to ignore what that poster has said. Just play the file either as you normally would on a pc, or, through the tv using a laptop. What that user has said is completely wrong. |

Duh Well Duh LordHines FIRST the black bars have been Cropped off by the ripper And do not contain any digital information and therefore dont take up any file space. NEXT The Dark Knight was shot with an Aspect Ratio of 2.35 : 1 (see IMDB) No matter what the Aspect Ratio is the HEIGHT is always expressed as a factor of 1 The WIDTH is always expressed by a number indicating how many times wider the Picture is than the height Meaning that THIS Movie Picture is 2.35 (2 point 35) times as wide as it is high (to understand how Aspect Ratio works lets use inches as the unit of measurement) SO the movie as it appeared in Movie Theaters or on DVD or BluRay HD Is 2.35 times as wide as it is high (think 23.5 inches wide by 10 inches high) But the only way you can make a 2.35 : 1 (23.5 inches by 10 inches) movie picture FILL a 16 x10 format Widescreen Monitor or HDTV set from Top to Bottom, (thats with no black Bars at the top or bottom) is to cut 3.75 inches from each side of the 23.5 inch wide picture in order to Fit a 16 inch wide (16 X 10) screen size without distortion (3.75 + 16 + 3.75 = 23.5) That works out to cutting a total of 7.5 inches from the 23.5 inch width, or nearly 32%. ( 7.5 divided by 23.5 = 31.9%) Which means that in order to get rid of the black bars You have to get rid of nearly one third of the original movie you were meant see. If the Aspect Ratio of the original movie had been 2.76 : 1 you would have lost 48% I wont download this version of the movie because if what you say is accurate then it isnt complete and I care about that, Many others DONT care about it, and I say, good for them, enjoy THIS download. And to Sirus444 2 months ago I know you meant well and for many others the severe drop in video quality wont matter any more than the missing 32% of the Movie BUT what Zx50 1week ago said, is true and for people like he and I, it wouldnt be a satisfactory option, As far as I know, the best solution is to download a 4.6 GB MKV file, burn it as Data to A DVD disc and then play it on a DixX 7 Certified DVD player. (older DivX DVD players wont play the high quality HD MKV file so check before you buy) Or you could always buy a BluRay Player and rent a BluRay Disk. Other Aspect Ratios are: 1.33 : 1 and 1.78 : 1 and 1.85 : 1 and 2.15 : 1 And 2.35 : 1 and 2.76 : 1 and I think Im forgetting 1 or 2. |

There is no visible difference in a 2GB HD and 8GB HD, there just encoding differently, The 2GB are encoded properly, and HD movies should not be no larger than 4GB. Next time you do a search for HD movies put "nHD" in your search. You will see them done properly by NhaNc3. |
