The novel "The Girl Next Door" is based on a true life crime about a girl who was abused my her care taker in Indianapolis in 1965. Another movie "An American Crime" with Ellen Page, Cathrine Keener and Bradley Whitford is based on actual court testimony and is definetely worth a watch if you want to know more about the story. |

Totally agree with jsstfh and vaka32bit.. This is based off the most gruesome crime committed to a single person (The torture and murder of Sylvia Likens by Indianapolis housewife Gertrude Baniszewski and her children in 1965). This is a great rip v10/a10

One of the very few movies I had difficulty watching! I downloaded it because it made some top 10 lists for most disturbing movies and I was curious as to what was out there. The original Funny Games was a walk in the park compared to this. |

Ive just watched the film and had to stop it. Im in shock as i write this. I advise any sensitive people not to watch this because its the darkest film ive seen, its just hard to watch and i dont think you will feel nice afterwards :( I dont :( And this was based on a true story so to those of you saying no one got hurt, your retarded, people got more pain than we can ever imagine and we all know this shit happens its just . . do we REALLY need to see it so vividly? Choice is yours . . . |
