actually you can make your own apartments......you start with a vacant residential lot, make it the same way you would a house, just make the apartment the way you like, then bring up the cheat box (ctrl, shift, C) and type changelotzoning apartment......and viola, you have an apartment |

While it downloaded perfectly - and indeed installed just as smoothly - I‘m not sure what image to mount on daemon tools to get it to run. I keep getting the "please insert original disk" error regardless of the fact that I have the rld-s2e8 mounted.

I figured out how to get it to work. I‘m an idiot.
Open the "Crack" folder. Mount the shortcut to Daemon tools. The shortcut is "Shortcut to Sims2EP" and it‘ll run just fine. This download works great. Runs great. I recommend it. |

bbroxxors...vista aint the problem...u need the NOCD crack to make the game work....EA games are very strict on their software like most game designers....they put a unique code on the disc that makes it genuine...but wen u copy the disc it dont copy the code and therefore ure copy is not genuine so these brilliant inventors make NOCD cracks or Patches for all these games which make them playable....LMFAO

Just downloaded it and it works fine. This is the first time I‘ve ever used a cd crack, and to be quite honest I‘m not the brightest. So if I can figure it out just by reading comments, so can everyone else, and if you can‘t, you have no business on a computer. |

lillmiffen.. Look for this file(flt-tskb).If you dont see that filename, usually the first or last RAR FILE has that file you‘re lookin for. EX. No. 02 or No. 22. I use Daemon Tools Pro. The serials are located in the readme file. And i do not need to crack it. Im playing Apartment Life now. Just play like usual. I hope i helped you guys in some way or another.

Sorry guys. Ignore the comment above. Its meant for another torrent. Sent it by mistake. My bad. Anyway,guys... The file you want is RLD-S2E8.RAR(No.22) Unrar the iso file to the desktop. Mount it with Daemon Tools or whatever you prefer. Im using Daemon Tools Pro Advanced. Mount it. The keygen. and crack file is in the crack folder. Click the file above the crack to generate a serial key. Install. Copy the crack and paste it in the TSBIN folder where you installed the SIMS 2 APARTMENT LIFE. Play the game. Hoped i helped you. :D |

It‘s very detailed to get this game to work. Finally got the game to load up at least.
Tools Need: .Rar unpackager (I use 7-zip) Daemon Tools (Lite works) 1. Download the Torrent 2. Open the torrent 3. Locate the rld-s2e8.rar file and unpackage 4. Right-click Daemon Tools in your system tray (the area next to your time), Select Virtusla CD/DVD-Rom, Device 0: [J] Empty and Mount. Browse to the .iso file you unpacked in step 3. 5. Go to My Computer and find the new virtual drive [J:] with the sims2AL icon. Right click and select explore. Select the installer and install the game in your language. Use the crack folder and the program called rld-s2e8. This will generate a serial key for your game installation. 6. In the [J:] explore window open up the folder cracks and right click the file called Sims2EP8 and click copy. Navigate to the new installed directory of the game (what you named when you installed the game, not the torrent download), go into the Sims2 Apartment life folder, then into the TSBin folder. Right click and select paste. You will be prompted to overwrite existing file. Choose yes. 7. Either from that file you just pasted, or the link in your start menu run Sims 2 Apartment Life. From here it should start up without the "insert original cd" or the "can not enumerate display drivers" errors. Unfortunately from here the game has stopped at the intro vid, tried again it stops at the Title screen. Guess I try again. |

ok.. iver tried doanloading this torrent wice it didnt work eithor time. And yes i did it right im big on torrents. i always get the message insert disc, and cannot find direct x compatible graphics, and my computer is up to date. I think the reason is that i have vista, and the no cd cracks dont work for vista. thats my theory. becuase every cd crack that i tried doent work. the torrent works the crack doesnt. |

OK im about to write step by step on how i got the game to work for the people who have never done it before or have no idea where to start. This by no means its exactly how its done but this is how it works for me. i didnt know either. and now i have successfully installed all 8 expansion packs like this.... FIRST to address some of the error messages people are getting..... "Failed to enumerate any DirectX 9 compatible graphics adapters in this system" error............ This happens if you put the crack in the wrong place. Crack must reside in C:Program FilesEA GAMESThe Sims 2 Apartment LifeTSBin The insert correct disc error, sounds like you are trying to open the original downloaded exe file to start the game and not using the cracked copy.... anyways ill tell you step by step how i did it in the next post... |

Open downloaded torrent..
click on the first file (rld-s2e8) and it should open in winrar. i clicked on extract and put it to my desktop so i could access it or find it more easily. Open power ISO click the ‘Open‘ up the top , and select the file you put to desktop Then click on "Burn" and it will burn them files to a disc. After it finishes, go to the disc you made and view/explore the files on it click on the icon that has the little ‘EA‘ AUTORUN and that will install the game put in the code (i used SX6N-YF33-4KS6-ARLD) - If it doesnt work generate your own code by opening rld-s2e8 in the CRACK folder you downloaded. follow the installation prompts, but dont register! and choose QUIT when finished. DONT play the game from there. NOW, open the disc u made and click on the CRACK folder (we now need to copy the new sims2ep8 file over the original one you installed) So, open the folder where the game is from your computer click on c drive -- program files -- EAGAMES -- SIMS2 apartment life -- and open the folder "TSBIN" NOW, from the CRACK folder right click and "copy" then paste that into the TSBIN folder It SHOULD say that the file already exist and ask you if you want to overwrite or replace. So you will need to chose replace or overwrite!!!! ALL DONE! :) click on the file you just put in there "Sims2EP8" and the game should run! if you get any error messages see my previous post. any questions or need me to clarifyy just ask away and ill try to help. i have tried to explain this as best i can. and for anyone else who disagrees with my method, tough, dont get up me, im just trying to help. and this worked for me. Hey, usually I have no problems with the RELOADED torrents - but for some reason, I couldn‘t install the game because my anti virus detected a Trojan in the Autorun... and I‘m wondering wether or not it‘s a real virus or just the coding.
I had to take down every single function of my anti virus just to install the game, that‘s not normal. Is there any way I can verify that I didn‘t just get a virus, since I saw no other comments about this? |

This is my first attempt at running an EA game without the original disc, and it took some time for me to figure it out, but it DOES work. My proof is that it‘s currently running on my Vista Desktop. It takes some time for it to load. Be patient.
The various comments on this post for how to use it will help you install it correctly and run it with no problems, but people don‘t seem to like reading them. You will need WinRAR and something like MagicDisc in order to install this game. Both of these are available on download.com I believe. They are both free to use (WinRAR says it‘s Shareware, but it is free for 30 days.) ********************************************************************** ****** After installing both WinRAR and MagicDisc, here is what you should do. I don‘t see any reason why these instructions wouldn‘t work for those using XP or Vista. I have them both currently. 1. Right click on the file named "rld-s2e8.r00" and select "Extract Here" to make things simple. This will take a few moments since the file is large. This will create the file named "rld-s2e8.iso". 2. MagicDisc will create an icon in your system tray (the place where it shows you the time) that looks like a hand holding a CD-ROM. Right click on that and select the menu "Virtual CD/DVD-ROM". This shows you the virtual drives. Choose one that says "No Media" and then click on "Mount". 3. You are given a dialogue box that allows you to choose the file you wish to mount. It is set up only to show files that are able to be mounted. Find the file named "rld-s2e8.iso" and select open. MagicDisc might take a few moments to verify what it is mounting. There should be NO error messages! 4. If the installer does not begin automatically, simply double click the "My Computer" icon on your desktop, find the drive your file was mounted to. It will have the very same name as the file (rld-s2e8.iso). Double click on this. 5. You will be prompted to select the language of the installation. You will also be asked to enter a serial number. There are several provided on the reloaded.nfo OR reloaded.txt document within the same folder you found all the other files. Scroll down and find them. (NOTE FOR VISTA USERS: I believe I had to rename the .nfo file to .txt in order to use it.) 6. The installation will begin. No error messages should be seen. DO NOT REGISTER THE GAME! It is not necessary to play. 7. Once the installation is complete, go back to "My Computer", RIGHT CLICK on the file you mounted and select "Explore." There is a folder called "Crack." Copy the "Sims2EP8.exe" file. You do not need the other file; that is just a serial number generator, which is useless at this point because you have already installed the game. 8. Right click on your "Start Menu" and select "Explore." Scroll and select "Program Files". Scroll until you see the "EA Games" folder. Select "The Sims 2 Apartment Life" folder. Within that folder, see one that is called "TSBin". Double click on that and paste the file you copied into that folder. OVERWRITE the existing file. The shortcuts created by the installer will no longer link to the right application. Delete them. Make things easier and right click on the file you just pasted and select "Send to Desktop". That will generate a new shortcut on your desktop. 9. Double click either on your shortcut or the pasted .exe file to open up the game. IT WILL TAKE SEVERAL MINUTES TO LOAD!!!!!!!!! My PC is brand new and it took well over five minutes to load. BE PATIENT. The game DOES WORK! You will not be stuck at the title screen. ERROR MESSAGES YOU WILL SEE IF YOU MESS THIS UP: 1. The game will not start because it says you have the wrong CD/DVD. - See Steps 7-9 to solve this problem. 2. The game will say something about not having a Direct X 9 graphics card. - This happens when you put the contents of the Crack directory from the mounted file in the wrong place. See Steps 8-9 to solve this. *********************************************************************** * This is the best I can do without posting actual screenshots. It is not hard to do. I was able to get everything up and running by reading some of the comments on this page. If you still can‘t get it to work, then I suggest deleting what you downloaded and making a trip to the store to buy the game. |

--- if you are getting the "insert the correct disc" error, you need to patch the game, which you can do from TS2‘s website. it is also possible that something else can cause this same problem, but patching fixed mine, and you will need to DL the patch anyway. --- --- if you have installed it and played it but the game crashes, this is not a problem with the torrent. you probably have a shoddy computer or a bad download. --- --- if you are whining about how you can‘t figure it out and it‘s a broken torrent, please note the dozens of people with working games that have posted; it is not broken. also consider that this is free, you really haven‘t got any right to bitch at the people that make it possible for us all to spit in EA‘s face. --- |

Downloaded and installed without a hitch! I‘m playing it now and it‘s running smoothly. Perfect in fact! BTW... I am running it on Vista in case anyone was interested to know that :)

OK.... I just wanted to add to my post above....
The game is running smoothly... no problems, but.... It seems a little odd. I‘ve been playing it for a few hours now (lol) and I‘ve noticed that the sims gain skill points VERY QUICKLY! Too quickly as a matter of fact! I mean I had one sim that washed a dish, just one dish and he earned a cleaning skill point. He mopped up a puddle and got another one. I had another sim that used the excercise machine and got all ten skill points in less than an hour (sim time) and his energy level barely dropped at all. I figured I could have him work out a little before he went to work since all his bars were high. He had an hour before his ride came so I thought I could maybe get him one point or at least get him started on one. He earned all ten points before his ride showed up!!! I had the same sim start painting when he got home to earn creativity points and he got all ten points in no time and again, his other bars barely dropped at all. Sooooo.... the game works, but something is fishy here... LOL... and I don‘t know if I like it. Like I said, I use cheats all the time in this game but I also like to have a few families that I don‘t use cheats with. It almost seems like the cheats are built into this game. Very strange. Anyone else notice this? I like to use cheats every once in a while when I play, but I usually have at least one or two families in each neighborhood that I won‘t use any cheats on so I can play the game the way it was meant to be. I don‘t know if the person who uploaded this torrent tweaked something or if that‘s the way the game shipped, but it seems like something is not right. They‘re getting their skill points toooooo easily. |

you can make your own apartments......you start with a vacant residential lot, make it the same way you would a house, just make the apartment the way you like, then bring up the cheat box (ctrl, shift, C) and type changelotzoning apartment |

I have everything downloaded and installed and I copy the CRACK and try and paste it in the TSBin, but I can‘t. I get a box that says that there is not enough room in the folder. I want to just delete the Sims2EP8 file that is in the TSBin and just paste the CRACK in replacement, but it won‘t let me delete the Sims2EP8 file and the notification to just replace/overwrite doesn‘t even appear. Just the one about the folder being too full. I have Vista so maybe it‘s just a Vista thing, but I can‘t be sure. Did anyone else have this problem or know how to get past it? |

When it says "insert correct disk", you just need to click on another sims game, for example click on Sims 2 Bon Voyage or one that you have got and it should play it! |

**YOU MUST HAVE THE ORIGINAL SIMS 2 GAME INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THIS** It is an EXPANSION PACK, which means it EXPANDS on the original game. Thank you. :D |

hi guyz.... i run win xp... i extracted the contents mounted the .iso file usin deamon tools... the setup starts... i entered the serial number.... the setup finishes...then update starts automatically... then it says " error in update"... "the setup will now terminate"... the game is not installed.... what should i do?? i have installed all the previous expansion packs of sims 2 and its perfectly working... does this affect it... what should i do... pls help me guyz pls pls |

I‘m having a small problem. I downloaded this before, but forgot how I got it to work... So I‘ve followed all the guidelines, but when I‘m downloading, I get an error message that says something along the lines of "Failure to copy file support/cs_eula" or along that lines, and it doesn‘t work. I‘m not sure what to do... anyone able to offer any help? |

You guys are gonna think I‘m totally annoying and stupid for this! but.. I need help cause i wanna download it and so i looked at somebodys comment telling me how to do it and said i needed WinRar and MagicDisk so i downloaded both.. i then click on the torrent link and it says run or save so i clicked run and it comes up with an alert message - "The archive is either in an unknown format or damaged" so it won‘t let me open it! :( i dont understand what to do know cause nobody has had the same problem.. please help! Step 1: Mount game [check]
Step 2: Copy/paste and overwrite crack into TSBin folder [check] But, when I double click the Sims2Ep8.exe [out of the c drive folder] I get an error that says ‘Please make sure that The Sims 2 and any of its tools are not running before starting this application.‘ Which means I have to cancel the ‘Sims update‘ that comes after mounting it, which then erases the whole mount for some reason. I know there‘s something I‘m doing wrong.. but no one‘s previous comments are helping me do anything different. HELP! |
