Definitely off beat. This is not your normal movie. Very different. Takes a while to get going, as first most people will be turned off by just a bunch of druggies doing Heroin. But then as it moves along it begins to get quite violent and looks at the worst of Scottish society. No wonder the Romans built Hadrian‘s Wall to keep out the Barbarians. Somethings haven‘t changed much when you see this. Good scenes are the dead baby due to parental neglect caused from drug addiction and when spud shits himself after being too drunk to keep control! This is a really "heavy" movie. Definitely NOT for kids with their teddy bears and PJ‘s. Oh, and they are speaking English (I think) though My Thai girlfriend seriously wanted to know what language they were speaking! (UK folk will know what I‘m getting at here-LOL) |
