720 x 304
with the insane amount of noise reduction you put on this, you should have been able to do original resolution, easily. even get away with less noise reduction at the same time. unfortunately aXXo is the best lossy version right now. resized even smaller than this. as soon as someone gives up the DVD9 I‘ll rip it to 700MB proper, at full resolution, with standard. (obviously with stereo sound only) search for Transformers NinjaMonks 1-2 weeks after someone releases the DVD9. i‘m not trying to diss this release at all either. i‘m just sick of people saying quality of these resized and most often badly processed badly encoded releases are 9 10. I don‘t really rip anything anymore, but the late time i did this was for Romeo Must Die... custom FlaskMPEG, custom VDub, and my own plugins. People were like "how the hell did you do that?" lulz... screenies: http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/7382/rmdsb.jpg http://i mg85.imageshack.us/img85/71/rmdsc.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/2227/rmd sd.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/3740/rmdse.jpg http://img85.imageshack .us/img85/4615/rmdsf.jpg http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/7355/rmdsa.jpg and that‘s a 700MB release in total, the AVI itself is 694MB (i think) to leave room for the autorun/launcher. Obviously a lot has changed, such as Transformers NTSC DVD having like 4 times the pixels, but codecs and my understanding (and my video plugins) have too. Keep a look out. |

I didn‘t do any noise reduction or any filters, unless Handbrake does those automatically. This is H.264, are you expecting it to look like an xvid?
That is the max resolution that I can do without using anamorphic. I wouldn‘t want to have a higher resolution anyway. Like I said in the info file, it‘s a long movie with a relatively low bitrate. There is no lossless version of this movie that I am aware of anyway. In fact, I don‘t think I‘ve ever seen a lossless movie on bittorrent at all. MPEG4 ASP, H.264, MPEG1 VCD, MPEG2, etc; All lossy. And I doubt anything in MPEG4 ASP would be better then H.264, unless it was a much bigger file. Not to seem rude, but it is a little odd to see you post a comment on my torrent about random things and make little sense (mentioning lossy, when practically all video on bittorrent is lossy, mentioning people rating a torrent when no one else even commented on this page, let alone rated it) and then went on to praise your own encoding talents. I‘m awaiting your response so I can understand what you are talking about :) |
