Very good Linux system.. But I prefer Linux Mint 4.0 "Daryna" which is based on this version of Ubuntu.. Has all the codecs already installed for music and video files. |

I agree with bogvovk it the best Linux out there right now. Kubuntu is not near as good as Ubuntu 7.10. Now as soon as they make those damn tar.gz files easier to use there will be tons of new users. |

All of Ubuntu versions for all configurations,desktop(live cd), alternate(full install on hdd), server(full install on hdd) Good for hack,no virus,no problems,stability 100%. l suggest alternate version with Wubi ubuntu installer directly from windows xp(work together)

Oh yeah, and you don‘t need Wubi any more if you want to try Hardy Heron‘s alpha (or just wait for the full version), because it‘s built right into the install disc... autoruns right inside Windows and everything! |

I wouldn‘t say Ubuntu is the "best."
I personally think it‘s for beginners. IMO, Sabayon is the best. I‘m only getting Ubuntu for a Linux ‘newb‘ though. |
