jimmorrison857, I can honestly think Famine ment 6/10 6/10 (6/6). I took a quick look. Its a DvDScreener (Has the watermark on it) The quality is ok. All underworlds are dark pictures, so taking that into acocunt i would give the ‘quality‘ of the picture an 8 because its not crisp and sharp (it has an overall blur to it). the Audio is a 10 (In stereo, Sounds like AC3 and is clear) IF you can stand the timed Sony Pictures Entertainment popup, then its worth downloading. |

I‘m thinking more along these lines: A/V or V/A, where 10/10 would be 10 video, 10 audio, 6/6...you get the idea. Most folks see it as "10/10" = "ten out of ten", but if you use 10 as a constant, then you can simplify A/V - for instance, your rating would be 10/8, or 8/10 depending on A/V or V/A... There..that should oughta make things much more murky and confusing...LOL I like V=? A=? myself. OH YEAH, might as well rate this while I‘m at it: V=7 A=9 (9 audio because it‘s not 5.1 AC3 or AAC, so 2 channel AC3 or MP3 rips gotta rate lower, just to be fair). Basically, Audio‘s good, Video is not quite as good as most DVD Rips, and then there‘s the watermarks, etc. |

If you don‘t like watermark (which is hardly noticeable, i concentrated on the movie), why don‘t you "experts" wait for another year for "good" copy to come out. As said this is a screener so it has a water mark on the top and random ‘sony rights‘ warnings throughout but sides that it‘s a decent copy. Quite dark throughout but that might also be cuz it‘s about vampires so the whole movie takes place at night.. maybe.

Awesome movie!! The water strip was like half an inch by 2 inches across the middle of the top of the screen about an inch down. Easily ignored. The popups were just notifiers. They were annoying and slightly took away from the scene but were ignorable. The Visual wasn‘t blurry, just dark-like every other underworld movie. That‘s the idea of hollywood vampirism crossed with gothic ideas....The audio was better than expected!! I enjoyed the movie so much, I‘m going to invite others to watch with only the warning of the non-subtitle popups to be ignored.
It was kinda sad that Kate Beckinsale wasn‘t in it, but the main female role was fantastic in Underworld 3!! She did much the same movement with slightly more emotion put into her movement! It was fantastic!! Great copy!! I suggest this to everyone I don‘t know!!! To those I do...Come over!! I already have it!! HAHAHA!!! |

Good rip and to be honest, it was a shock how good the movie actually was. The series itself has been pathetic, however, this version elevates the series from a B level sludge through vampire movie history (previous versions would have Brahm Stoker have a seizure in his grave) to an actual creative development in the series. If the next movie that comes out is as good as this one, I might be hooked on it. We shall see. Movie, 8/10. |
