ok I did it :) you have to install widows live from install folder "gfwlivesetup" and make offline account for play. To play lunch "loader". and as far as I see it is full game :) great thanks |

Odd crack, it‘s just a directory of some guy‘s install, so you don‘t have to install it yourself. But you do have to run the loader.exe rather than the dow2.exe.
Worked perfectly on my XP machine, wouldn‘t work at all on Vista. Seems to want DX9 specifically. |

works perfectly, downloaded in 2 days, followed upper case instructions (see above) and works great with saving and everything. no issues so far (except that I was expecting a bit better graphics, oh well... it even feels worse than first installment, no buildings...)
didn‘t see the skirmish mode either. maybe in multiplayer there might be a skirmish mode of a sort? |

It must be just my computer but whenever I try to run this game from loader.exe it says xlive.dll error. I‘m using Vista. It may just be this torrent as this one has been hacked and steam removed. |

Unfortunately this doesn‘t seem to work straightaway.
Using WinXP (SP3), I have unRARed the file to a directory, run the installation programs in the /install directory and double-clicked loader.exe. I get the error message "Unable to execute command dow2.exe (2)". Seems that the actual file "dow2.exe" wasn‘t automatically unRARed... so I drag and drop it to the folder, then retry loader.exe and... "Unable to execute command dow2.exe (5)" Anyone get this to work? |

Maybe its because of vista but i unrared it to a specific folder, installed the windows live and directX, also The UAC is turned of.
Then i create an offline account but after the movie it still keeps crashing???? Its not that i dont know how things work but seems to me there is a problem somewhere with this Torrent? |

Here are my final thoughts of this version of DoWII.
1. Bad instructions = Bad Cracker (I had to install the stuff in the Install folder before it ran) -Yes I did get the game to run but it was REALLY slow and it was burning my processor (I have a good computer, my specs are Win XP, 3.5GHz Duel Core, 8800gt Sli, 3GB RAM) 2. It is Extracted and not Installed (This means it will use most of your processor to run the game, so if the intro lags that is the reason) -I am not sure if the gameplay lagged but I decided to get an ISO version and use the cracks created in this one. Thanks, Levi P.S. Listen to BHMFTW, his instructions are correct. |

for the people who are getting errors such as "Unable to execute command dow2.exe" and "Procname Value not found in Rev.Ini. Please edit the file." i found dragging loader and the DoW2 icon back into the folder made it work, dragging those icons for a short cut causes the errors. |

A review of this torrent:
Yes, instructions included were useless. But the community has given us those (see comment in CAPS). I started playing it single-player. At the end of the rather long Day3 mission, it crashed didn‘t save. *RAGEQUIT* I could play skirmishes, if I had tried, I‘m sure I could‘ve played against others on a LAN. No reason for this not to work. I tried MAXing the graphics options (Ultra). It lagged at 1 frame every 4 seconds models in the main menu were vanishing. Textures reminded me of things I saw the last time I did drugs (psychedelic!) kekeke... sucked. I installed the patches so that I can try to play on Hamachi. When I finished installing the patches, I started the game up, everything went 1-frame-every-4-seconds psychedelic again. RAGEQUIT, consult people playing on Hamachi, turns out: THEY USE THE "vitality" TORRENT. I SUGGEST YOU USE IT TOO. At least I‘ve confirmed that his torrent doesn‘t work very well. |

SHUT THE F UP!! i too had problems with it at the beginning. but then i followed BHMFTW explanation and it WORKS!! ive just barely been able to play it but heres what i do! if i get a problem with the game i just read through the comments. chances are EXTREMLY big that there is an answer to YOUR problem in them. Works Great! I Had a Xbox Live Gamertag a long time ago and purchased Halo 2 and Street Fighter IV and used the same gamertag for Games For Windows Live and it just works fine! If u dont have gamertag , then u have to do an offline account or you will never be able to play online or live. The same happened with Gears Of Wars For PC!!! Keep That in Mind always for every Games For Windows Live Games and for those that are cross platform like Lost Planet: Colonies Edition! |
