1) I unrar the file

Follow the instructions in the .nfo file (INSTALL_DOW2.BAT etc.)
1. Run SteamInstall from folder DownGameDoW2 2. Run Steam, let it update, once updated you can exit 3. Run gfwlivesetup.exe from Install folder, create a Games for Windows LIVE account 4. Edit rev.ini in your game folder to point to SteamClient.dll IN THE FOLDER WHERE YOU INSTALLED STEAM FOLDER (not the DoW2 game folder). 5. Run Loader.exe and enjoy! |

change SRC="D:DownloadsDoW2Dawn of War II_disk1.sim" to where the files are "C:DownGameDoW2Dawn of War II_disk1.sim" for example. 2.set DST="D:GamesDoW2" to where you want to install the game. 3.Save and run INSTALL_DOW2.bat 4. after the game is installed, copy the files from the loader folder to the location where you installed the game. 5. Install Steam Client and run it once to let it update itself (For me it was installed to C:Program Files (x86)Steam). 6. Copy Steam Folder from C:Program Files to where you have install the game. 7. open rev.ini from the installation directory of the game and set SteamClientDll to where the steamclient.dll file is in the Steam folder you just copied. 8. Install Game for Windows Live. For people using XP: (in some cases not necessary) After Installing Games for Windows, run games for windows, it will inform you that you need to apply a hotfix for XP, press yes and it will take you to the download link for the hotfix, download it, install it, then restart, now your good to go. 9. click loader.exe to start the game |

I finally got it to work after fiddling around with steam and that windows live crap. Anyway, the game launches just fine now... but the moment i try to do anything it says i must login to windows live to do that... at which time it asks for a key. |

Well what can i say i tried and i understood the bat file and how you got to fix it up to extract but just as stated above you only get to the file 351 of the entire thing then it stops someone asked what the second set of the codes at the end are as for me i tried adding the secondary disk into them in hope that the CMD extractor wills tat on a different cd named dawn of war2,Sid and continue from there but nope did not work if anyone got it figured out please post |

after hours of working on this i finaly got it working,now a lot of people have been complaining it only extracts 351 files then hit any key to continue ,i got this same problem but the thing is its not a problem its all its ment to do,just copy the loader files.
i recommend installing steam and windows live for games and letting them update befor installing,reboot then this 1.edit install_dow.bat 2.copy files from loader folder to dow2 folder 3.edit rev.ini like so,SteamClientDll=D:Program FilesSteamsteamclient.dll,if u dont get that look in your steam folder for the file right click copy location then add that to your rev.ini and then add steamclient.dll to the end of it 4.run steam then load the game from loader.exe |

found this useful:
1) Unrar 2) Set SRC to whatever directory Dawn of War II_disk1.sim is in. 3) Set DST to whatever directory you want it to install to. 4) Run INSTALL_DOW2.bat. Make sure you do this from an administrative shell if you‘re on Vista and trying to install to a dir under "Program Files" or "Program Files (x86)" 5) The decompress will complete and there will be a message about getting to file 351. This is normal - I believe the .sim contains Multi-5 and the keys provided in the .bat only extract the game files for EN-US. 6) Wherever you unrar‘ed, under down/game/DoW2/Resources/Install, there will be a gfwlivesetup.exe. This is the redistributable Games for Windows Live package. Install this if you don‘t already have it. 7) Install Steam. There‘s a package included in down/game/DoW2 but you‘re better off downloading from the Steam website, just in case. 8) Copy all the files in the crack/loader dir into the folder you installed the game to. Note: don‘t copy the loader folder itself, just its contents. 9) In whatever directory you installed the game to, edit rev.ini and set the SteamClientDll to point to the steamclient.dll file included wherever you installed Steam. 10) Have fun playing. the 2 keys are only for the game and english lang. wow this is really queer, why are people trying to code batch installations now? when cracks can easily be copied and installed manually.
i‘m quite experianced with batch and the ms-dos environment. and that could just have easily been another virus, its disgusting how people now upload these instead of just the crack and a normal text based file saying where to place it, at the maximum and this is a very poor torrent |
