You need a legit CD key for the English language XP Home Ed to benefit from this torrent. In other words it‘s a waste of time because there are pirate versions of XP pro without any of this hassle to download.
I recommend Ubuntu Linux anyway. :p |

This is 100% legit - SHA1 checksum matches Microsoft‘s stated value. It will only work if you have a valid key for the XP Home Retial version, though. I edited the setupp.ini file to accpet an OEM key to fox a freind‘s PC. This installed perfectly, but would NOT activate, no way. Used the original file with a retail version key and everything worked perfecctly, including activation and all prodcut updates. |

This is RTM XP Home English, not OEM.
Google "xpkey.exe" and find the keygen that does xp home english. run the keygen, it took me 17 passes to find a valid key. Google "WPatcherP5575987.zip" and execute wpa-fix.exe. execute "MGADiag.exe" and click continue, you want to see Genuine at the top in green Your windows is now activated, and you can do all the WGA stuff (windows updates, etc). Enjoy. |

the xpkey.exe takes forever to generate a key, just wait, it will get there eventually (took me 17 passes of the algorythm before it found a valid key). The key will be in the log, so when it finds it click view log. |

oh i was soo drunk last night... i forgot to mention something, so these are the order for installation:
Install Windows XP with a product key made with XPKey.exe. Activate XP online. Go to Windows Update and install the Genuine Advantage Tool. Run WPA-Fix.exe. Execute MGADiag.exe and check the WGA status. Go back to Windows Update and download all the other stuff you want. Everything will pass WGA check now, like beta software, demos, etc. |

Burn the iso to a CD, make sure your pc is set to boot first from your CD.if not you need to change boot order in pc settings (to get into settings watch the screen just B4 boot it will read f? settings many are f2) press when you read..once ready pop your new disc in the drive and follow instructions given I hope that is of some use, |
