I too have a genuine windows xp home sp2 oem key and cd, but due to the discs age i suppose it cracked when i went to use it one day. And the easiest (or laziest) way of solving my problem was to download another copy. And terminator0032 no one likes you, so go away. And by the way torrents are totally legal as far as I understand. We simply share software. It‘s not like any one makes money off it. |

worked great, I needed a plain OEM windows disk to reformat a friends computer, she had a legal key, but the company (toshiba) wouldn‘t send a restore disk and her partition was corrupted. I tried a dell restore disk but couldn‘t get the computer to boot from it. Thanks ll0StrYkeR0ll for the instructions on poweriso, I haven‘t had to burn ISO before and it really helped, and especially thanks to demonoid, you have a lot of great useful stuff on here that helps with those of us who no longer have disks for our legally obtained software that the unethical computer manufacturers choose restrict our access to, even though the purchase price of the device is for the operating system software as well as the hardware. |

You are dumb.
Key is on Disk and it works. You have to read or write down the disk BEFORE you install...you will not be able to access the folder or file while installing. I also used a serial number from a damaged disk. Thanks for the help! |

About the WMP Kill.exe, it worked fine for me.. All i did was:
-Install windows -load windows (after 1 min. or so, the 30 day timer will appear) -then run WMP Kill.exe -click on Apply then wait till you see a message box, but dont click ok yet -wait for about 10 secs. then click OK. -click on the "key" icon on your task bar(the 30 day timer) and it should say "Windows is already activated". -your done :) Hope this helps |

My cousin, borrowed my original XP CD, Scratched the daylight out of it, and gave it back. Didn‘t work for reinstall. Downloaded this, I burnt using MagicISO. Used my own orginal Serial Code on the sticker on pc, and no problems at all. I did have to call microsoft though because I have registered my serial code a number of times after reformatting.
