wow i cant believe what people have been saying in these comments. First there is no one player story, its all one player online gaming. Secondly, go to wowscape.com if you want to know how to play for free. It‘s really easy to do. You just have to change the realmlist.wtf to sign on to a free server. But first you might want to let it update before you change anything or else you will have to manually update. |

A damn good download and works perfectly however all the private servers these days support 2.4.2 version but u can get the patches easily from www.wowwiki.com, however the best that i found is that 1st install the classic client(the world of warcraft)then install the expansion pack(the burning crusade) and don‘t apply the patches before installing the expansion pack or u will need to patch it again .
When u have installed the both clients go to http://www.wowwiki.com/Patch_mirrors and download the 2.4.0 patch(approx. 1.10 GB,however there are two patches for v 2.4.2, one:261MB and the other:1.10GB, don‘t download the first one because it can update only if u already have 2.3.3 version but the other one can update the game to 2.4.2 even if u have any 2.x version ) then download 2.4.0 to 2.4.1 and then the 2.4.1. to 2.4.2 patch(both are small ones) and don;t forget that it is the enGB(english great Britain version)so u have to download the correct patch otherwise the patch won‘t work. One more thing to remember that the patches in the torrent are almost useless so don‘t update the game with them, just follow my instruction. And don‘t update the game more than 2.4.2 coz almost all the private servers support 2.4.2 version, after patching to version 2.4.2 u can make an account in any private server and then play the game. There r however many private servers out there but i will recommend www.alphawow.com they r damn good and the most realistic private server that i found. THIS INFORMATION I WHAT I FOUND AFTER SEARCHING HOURS ON THE INTERNET AND IS ABSOLUTELY CORRECT AND IF YOU ARE HAVING ANY TROUBLE POST IT AND I‘LL DEFINITELY ANSWER. One suggestion is to just let the "blizzard autoupdater" file to get the game up to date (After installing the burning crusade expansion) and u are done.It‘s ok if your game version is 2.4.3(latest at the moment) and the private server is 2.4.2 compatible.It won‘t have any impact and no issues with the game experience:) And about those "Theatre Of Dreams" addonsU DON‘T NEED THEM!:) ..One last thing..U guys might wanna‘ try out "WOWSCAPE" :D...GOOGLE IT! |

There can be many reasons, but i will suggest u to perform the following steps :
(1)Try creating account in another private server, if it crashes again at the time of creating character then the problem must be with the world of warcraft client. (2)Go to the directory where u have installed WoW and delete the Wow.exe and Data/patch*.mpq(patch*.mpq means all the files named patch, example- patch.mpq, patch-2.mpq) then run repair. (3)Re-install both the WOW client and its expansion client then apply the patches in the correct sequence. Hope this will help u, and if not post again and I‘ll try to solve it out. |

sorry but i have no invitation left for now, AlphaWow gives everyone only one invitation per month and i gave my last one to "karandeepchopra" so you will have to wait for now, however you can still try other private servers, though most of them are fun servers and they are not enjoyable as much as the blizzlike ones. So keep trying unless u find the best server that suits ur playing needs and style, i.e. if u are a serious fan of WOW and want to play it the the way its meant to be played then u should go for a blizzlike or 100% blizzlike, but if you just want to have some fun with it then look no further than fun servers. |

This works great, there are just a couple things to be aware of: The patches that come included with this release are not relavent to the game; after installing both WoW Classic and WoW TBC it leaves you at version 2.0.0; The patches that are included only provide updates from 2.3.0 to 2.3.3, and it‘s such an old version of the client that there sort of useless anyways. Second, this is A UNITED KINGDOM release, meaning that if you intend to manually update, YOU WILL NEED UNITED KINGDOM SPECIFC PATCHES (lol, I learned that hard way: went to wowwiki and got all the redistributable patches from 2.0.0 to 2.4.3 and found out they weren‘t compatible with enGB only enUS). |
